We’ve had the pleasure of enjoying this gorgeous ship in 2020, with an amazing trip to the Antarctic. This year we will be onboard again (this time Scenic Eclipse 2), to see the Arctic. Can’t wait, as everything about this experience is unreal. Can’t recommend highly enough
Just returned from Antarctic peninsula.Amazing experience, marred with an outbreak of Covid, debilitating several key crew members and many guests. Crew second to none. Food of an extremely high quality. Sincere recommend this expedition cruise. Expert specialists, lectures etc. expensive , but worth it.
When you say “expensive” could you give me a rough idea for a me plus the better half and a 5 year old? Also guys guys guys chill; “expensive” Is a perception. To some the amount may be “a lot” To some it might be “play money” Either side you stand on its purely subjective. If you feel “wealthy” then it of course won’t feel expensive. If you’re broke by your own definition then I guess you can’t afford it but if you are looking at this and can’t afford it don’t be annoyed: be happy. Allow me to explain as myself have been broke af 2 times in my life. Changed careers 3 times… it’s doable. Nothing is truly beyond your reach and now you know how much disposable income you need. After someone answers my question I guess. (And the answer is that you want 4x as much as this costs saved, that is your new goal/mission Get after it!! You can do it I believe in you. I know how dumb that sounds but trust me. I do. I do believe in you because I didn’t believe in myself but i against all odds managed to get through it and into what most people would call “a good place” now. I don’t see it like that as I know the world can change very fast. So always enjoy every day you’re not in pain and have love around you. Truly that is all you need. With that you can get everything else. Have a great day anyone who read this far, you got this I just hope someone answers how much a ticket is 😂
Anyone been on this? I wanted to take my young family (wife and kid) to the USA as I used to live there and consider re immigration but this looks like A “must do” attraction and before the instagram crowd ruin it. Then it’ll be Andrew tates carbon copy’s with the replica watches and drinking and I just can’t. I’ll knock someone out and that seems a bad move on a cruise line 😅. Ok so anyone been? Other than the og video poster? I really really fancy this and my family really deserve/have earned a good trip! I want my kid to experience the freedoms of navigation that I was lucky enough to enjoy as a child. (My parents worked a lot and very hard, I don’t hold it against them they provided me the best childhood they could do despite not spending much time with them, I got to go amazing places and see amazing things. I like the idea of this a lot. I’m listening to the technical spec of the ship 4:01 I actually came from the ad - so owner sir if you read the comments your adverts do actually work- and the idea of “open bridge” so that questions can (respectfully) be asked at appropriate time. &’now I know I can have a morning cigarette and an evening cigar I’m sold! I just need to know how to book, when it sails, hopefully in September at least once. Oh I’m learning to fly helicopters also. Maybe I should not have written this and just applied for a job as the longer i watch this the more I want to be involved in the running of this amazing ship! (Note I said “be involved” not “own it I want it to be mine! No i actually enjoy operating things and the problems that come With that strange yes I know)
We just disembarked Eclipse I and we can say without a shadow of any doubt it was the worst cruise vacation we've ever taken. Scenic is not a serious line. Many travel agents refuse to book with them because of their abysmal customer service. We've had better Celebrity cruises if we're being frank. No accountability. The vessel has a good deal of deferred maintenance (i.e. A/C not functioning in public areas and in blocks of cabins). The advertised experience does not even remotely resemble reality. On our 12-day voyage Zodiacs and helicopters never used once. It was such a bungled experience the captain openly apologized to guests and conceded they are not "equipped to handle the Carribean." But Carnival and Margaritaville are? That's curious. Key takeaway: buyer beware. Stick to lines that are tethered to a major publicly traded parent company. That way there's a clear path to resolution when conflict arises. The Cruise Critic reviews say it all. Never again. We booked Seabourn Pursuit for Antarctica and so happy we did.
This is a great review, you covered everything and made me extremely excited to one day take this cruise
I am so proud that this ship was built in Croatia, and these days Scenic Eclipse 2 was also launched into the sea
