I tried doing this with mosaic tiles and it has a different vibe. However, I noticed that the soil kept falling off from the tiles once it dries. Quite a challenging piece for beginners.
if i don't have akadama powder can i use another substrat? i live in europe, and importing akadama powder only the delivery its 30 dollars by amazon plus the substrat, if you can help me, thank you

It is not a strong adhesive and can be peeled off.
