GEPA BUILDS BAUXITE BEADS MAKING FACILITY FOR THE PEOPLE OF ABOMPE.

Afua Nyamekye of Abompe recounts the painful manual processes they used to go through to make beautiful bauxite beads. Often enduring bloodshot blistered fingers to make a few bauxite beads to earn a living.
Today, thanks to the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, the people of Abompe in the Eastern Region near Osino, now have a fully mechanized production centre to make these beads in commercial quantities for sale locally and for export - bringing smiles to Afua Nyamekye and the people of Abompe.
This is what 1D1F means to the ordinary Ghanaian.
