I just love this song to death and I'm a Muslim. Epica isn't a band that which doesn't respect other people's thoughts and choices. They just want to protest who manipulate people by using religion.

Yeah, at first I didn't like his growling, but the more I listened to Epica it has grown on me. It does fit the music quite well, and it contrasts well with Simone's beautiful voice.

Amanda has a great voice and stage presence and Simone has great stage presence, a lot of charisma. I never really liked any female metal singers, but now I love Simone. My favorite singers have always been Dio and Halford because they are the best, and are other worldly talent.

if you live n a muslim country and read the quran, you would know that the verb used in that verse is DARABA which can mean hit but thee first meaning is to forsake, or split, or depart... the same verc is used 58 times in the quran, and only in this verse people like to interpret it as hit but not in the rest of 57 times. i have read the quran in arabic i'm a translator (arabic, hebrew, french, swedish to Finnish)

Epica are not making fun of religions, they make fun of their leaders... they are not stupid, they respect religions, and religion was never a problem, it's the way you use your faith, if it exists at all, or it's just a reason to do so bad things.... open ur eyes, religion on its own never did any harm, people did though.....

If they add in any more blast beats and death metal growls they might as well become Melodic Death Metal. They are far more uniqe then ToT in that Epica gets heavier

Sorry but it indeed does. Permitting the killings for those who defies the ways of islam is what is called legalizing war in 21th century; which is well written in Quran. This may very well include a lot of people from simple atheists who dont approve of the practicings of islam to radical anti-islamist campaign workers to whom your degree of tolerance may differ, but the time of dealing with such issues with malignant ways is no more. coming from a Turk who's well aware of islam. The Quran however still reflects its time (even if it brought quite a number a new ethical rules): it clearly says it's okay to kill pagans (surah 9:5, okay it refers to the pagans at the time of the Prophet, but still, it's hardly peaceful). Don't confuse what is the practice of Islam today and what is in the Quran. Just like the Bible, the Quran has some verses that are unethical for us today because we evolved.
