Thank you for this beautiful reaction. Todd shares many facets of his mind in his music and most have deeper, universal meanings than the surface and or personal. Other songs I could suggest would be One World, All The Children Sing, Compasion, Love Is The Answer (Utopia) Change Myself, Parallel Lines, God Said and so many others. Honest Work is also a great choice to react to. Thank you both for your wonderful reactions 🙏🏻♥️
Todd Rundgren's songwriting, his arranging, and the control he has over his voice when he sings are all amazing. I have been a fan of his music since the 80's.
I can really relate to the bittersweet lyrics in this song. I had to go overseas during the Vietnam conflict and when I came home.... the girl that I was madly in love with..... had moved on. All I was left with were the memories and the dream of us being together. We all have to move on at times in our lives. It's very painful... but we must do it... even if our dream lives on in time......
@chitownlee To remember seeing skinny little Todd, back in the early 70's, RUNT, "We Gotta Get You a Woman" days when he was 22 -25, seeing and listening, and watching him master nearly aspect of music MAKING, to now. Yep, I'm old! 😁 He's longer in the tooth, heavier, a bit slower now, and his voice is deeper/rounder and not quite as strong. We've gotten "old" with him. But you know that brain is still searching, 24/7 for new ways to bend the norm and bring new tunes to those of us who still hear him, when Todd tells new stories. ✌️💜
@lorioday8528 The first time I remember hearing him was when he was with Nazz, I heard them in 1968 on a underground FM station in Chicago. Ya, I'm old too.
The studio version is more robust. The song was selected by many high schools as their class song, and I think of it as a song of forward living ... albeit via a dream. To a few, it may be a love song. Either way, it is an excellent song, probably in Todd's top 5.
The Old Grey Whistle Test was what us Brits liked the most back then. Saw Utopia his prog rock excursion at Knebworth in 1979 and they blew Led Zeppelin off the stage. By far the better band on the day and Love of the Common Man is surely gonna be your next Run der Granny down song.
Hi guys🎉I love your reactions. I have to tell you about a few songs by the band Heart. They have many, but I can tell you some of their best..."Sing Child" and "Cook with Fire" (the original recording sounds live, but its better than the live version) and "Go on Cry". They're amazing.
This is a decent version, but it's unfortunate you didn't do the studio version. It has a lot more instruments and effects. You should listen to it if you get a chance.
Thanks for another Todd song 🎵 we love them! Sad but Beautiful love his Emotion, 🦋😢🦋 Peace 😊✌️ Gary 🌈 keep smiling 😃 Great Reaction👍
Another great song from Todd!!!❤❤❤

Todd Rundgren and Jackson Browne are very simple - brilliant songwriters and musicians
Haven’t heard this in quite some time, forgot how good it is ❣️
Beautiful song, beautiful review.
Todd is just amazing!

Flip the Switch and do 'Black Maria'. Todd can rock with the best of 'em.

I believe you will be blown away by the singer BILLY PAUL'S song ME AND MRS JONES🎉
Todd Rundgren "We Gotta Get You A Woman"
"RUNT" days. 1970
Todd played the 'Motor Bike' guitar on Bat out of Hell.
He produced that album as well!
