Only The 90's, can have those feel Good vibes & have you thinking of memories that'll last forever.
yep
I remember when super-soakers were the must have toy!
Born in '84 and I remember about 90% of these commercials. Good times.
90s and Early 2000s were some of the best times to be alive.
Well said Absolutely
just so simple back then. LOVE IT!
Funny how you never really see commercials for toys any more.
I was thinking the same thing. Don't see them for kid cereals or candy either. Remember all those Big Red and Juicy Fruit commercials? I figure they're all on some kids cable network channel like Nick Jr. that i don't pay for.
Noticed that too. All the games are just apps now
07:29 AOL pitching the idea of the Internet to an unsuspecting, innocent world.
Internet is now life
"it helps my son with his homework!"
yeah.. anatomy homework
I always thought that was only for heh rich at the time lol
Tihs life is f...k up
World is not the same anymore
I love these commercials, it brings back lovely memories of my chiled hood!
I miss the 90's.
im actally getting bored of watching commercials but, i can't stop! my nostalgia won't let me. XD
I miss the 90's. :\
Born in 1984. I feel bad so for the current generation of kids. We actually had a culture.
commercials?
Yes, obviously that's what I meant.
kingcrimson234
Lol, my dad was born in 1962, think about what no only you and I missed. I was born exactly 20 years after you btw.
kingcrimson234 gust what I was born 90's those commercial or the best I was born 1995 I saw some commercial want I was 2 year old now iam 22 year old. and I missed those commercial
I used to love reading my parents' old Encyclopedia Britannica...now I'm about six years away from them having a doctor in the family (albeit not a medical doctor, but still).
LOL The Reckless Investments of the 90s I would have to say 99% of these products disappeared within one year of production
But damn I miss all the cool things that used to come out
I can’t believe I grew up at a time when people weren’t addicted to smartphones. It’s so crazy to think it’ll never be like that ever again
"Retro" is better, still makes me feel old, but not as bad as "vintage".
I was 6 and I remember most of these commercials vividly
Gotta have my pops
ryan62082 Ds
Usually i hated when the commercials come on. But it feels good to see the ones that came on when i was growing up. Thanks for posting this.
I was never a HUGE fan of starbursts. They stuck to my teeth and irritated my cavities. But those commercials....all that water and fruit. Makes me crave them even to this day. The ppl who created those ads were good. Nowadays these candy commercials are so weird and unappealing I'd rather eat vegetables.
Def
I am glad to have been a child of the 90s (I was born in 1986)- I actually remember most of these commercials.
‘81 checking in!! Class of 2000!
I had totally forgotten about that Duncan Hines commercial, me and my sister begged my mom for those chocolate chip muffins.
The 90s were the decade of Shampoo and Cereal...
in some faint part of my memory I can remember these commercials .
LOL I vividly remember the Yak Bak. I went through about 3 of them.
It’s funny how some commercials I usually hate to watch can make me so happy
We still wanted information so badly back then that we would dedicate entire shelves to Encyclopedia Britannica
The Juice is Loose
Thats what they said about OJ when was on his bronco.
Fun fact...they changed that slogan right when he was acquitted.
This brings back good memories, I actually watched the video thru.
I remember a lot of these!!!
Ah yes, The Juice is Loose, Gotta Have My Pops, and Peanut Butter Crunch. Also, when AOL was just plain ole America Online b4 they decided 2 shorten it. I miss these old times. They don't make commercials like this anymore. These commercials had quality. I remember I used 2 daydream the starburst, corn pops, and peanut butter crunch tv ads while in school. I was in the 3rd grade. Times go by so quickly. I can't believe it's 15 years later.
I graduated from High School on June 3rd, 1995.
Hey me too.
I miss the 90s
The YakBak lol Wish I still had mine.
LOL 10 hours of internet FREE OMGOMGOMG
WHAT A DEAL!!
Lmao!! @7:31...."Email! ...even across the internet! I've done that...really! .....XD Priceless
we were so lucky to be kids in the 90's, we were the last generation that got to just ride bikes and play outside, and if we wanted to find someone we had to go knock on their door or look for them. Also we had original nintendo and super nintendo.
Actually, those born in the early 90s are the last generation to actually be a kid? Being a kid in the lates 90s and early 2000s was still normal for kids with all the gadgets, toys etc playing out side all day. with bikes, roller blades, razor sticks.
Juan Sandoval I had my uncle who is mid 30 he was a kid in the 90s so yea I remember the culture pretty much.
Just hanging with the gum guys!!😎🎵
Wow, remember most of these.
Wow, I remember that capt. Crunch commercial so vividly :D
The Pert Plus commercial I recall because I thought the woman looked like my mom lol.
Yeah that Cap'n crunch ad feels like it aired yesterday. Wow.
Wow, I was born in 87' and I remember all of these. They really do date themselves. Who the hell buys Encyclopedias anymore? My mom bought a set...and I am not a doctor (false advertising)
If you didnt have cable back in the 90s you didnt see a lot of these commercials. Having cable back then was big. I had regular ass tv most of the time lol
Everything was better
In the 90s and 80s
Lol, that PB crunch commercial just came back to me! And I also remember those Duncan Hines commercials.
I got a yak bak that year as a stocking stuffer for Christmas.
I hate that they discontinued super soakers. Thankfully, we were the lucky ones in the 90s, to have played with those.
Wow! I totally forgot about Bubble Tunes! :D
I'm 27, and I would totally play gum guys today.
Look at the computer! And AOL. Wow
i was only 3 but i still remember these
I come from the 90s when the Encyclopedia was the internet and it was bloody expensive
miss the high school years
It's weird that I remember most of these commercials.
I wish ads were still like this.
Wow. I remember all of these! I want another yak back lol.
i think i remember having the yakbak. and i always wanted the super soaker!
I can't get enough of the 90's..it's something about that era that is soo peaceful..fast forward to now..uugghh!!
Hey everyone! I am typing this message from 1995 on my 486 with dial up modem and AOL! Tell me your A/S/L/
So these were the commercials airing when I was born (April 1995)
I miss the 90s. I got with a ton of black chicks.
It's funny how on the nordictrack commercial they say people lost ten pounds but didn't tell you how long it took.
James Hackett and that thing wound up as a good clothes hanger as well as I saw lots of them wind up at thrift stores & flea markets back in those days. lol
I remember these commercials!
I want to cry!!!!
@SuperAdventures lol that IS true, 93-97 were my favorite years as a kid.
I remember ALL of these........I guess I don't want to admit that i'm getting old?
I'm 23 (about 7 during the airing of these commercials) I do appreciate you posting them, gives me a chance to remember the old days, strange to some maybe, but, yea......thanks.
Who here was born 1981.........nostalgia
wow I'm 29 and I remember all these commercials like it was yesterday
So many cereal commercials, it only shows you how cheap product it is to make, and how incredibly unknown it was how unhealthy they really are
@SuperAdventures Today, my "Yakbak" is a Sony voice recorder I use if I interview someone ; ) To this day we still don't know how you Cram that Graham in Golden Grahams. I always wanted to walk on that Headline News circle. Incidently, 06:27 is a replacement piece for that Encyclopedia Commercial, I think they did that because Nickelodeon aired a different commercial and Turner probably did this as a way to keep up with them. I always thought 06:12 was the "Wonder Years" mother. It might be.
Wow. I was 20 then. 44 now. Old as dirt
Weird to think that some of the people in the Murrah Bombing might have seen one/some of these before going to work that day in April.
Too bad I'm a 00's kid! Born in 94! Shame... I feel like everything from 90-97 fits me perfect! Grunge, G-funk, the emergence of the internet, thick glasses, Playstation 1 in 95, 2nd wave emo/punk, plaid shirts.. The last period before kids were fully emerged in the internet... All of it. Damn.
oh wow...I was 10 years old!...haha..beautfiful Memories..
Pshh....I don't remember anything I ever learned from reading an encyclopedia britannica, but I can practically remember the commercial word for word......Thanks television!!!
I was 14 i remember all of them great memory's
Encyclopedia britanica best source of reference before The Internet took over.
I was born on May 18, 1995 which was one day before the end of the date range of this video :)
The zombies of 2:45 are NOTHING like the zombies of Dead Island (Remember "darkness sparkle eyeball zoomout.") My, how times have changed!
In advertising terms this would be considered vintage. The advertising landscape changes so drastically and quickly (what sells or doesn't sell), that even 5 years is a huge difference, let alone what is going on to 18 years. I mean there's an commercial for Encyclopedia Britannica, when's the last time anyone used an encyclopedia? and YakBak! completely forgot about that thing.
Good job finding these.
Good days
iam glad I was born in the 90's
thats Donell Wilburn from My Brother and Me! lol
You guys remember HOW MANY FUCKING SUPER SOAKERS THEY CAME OUT WITH??! Super Soaker X55 Super Soaker XX2005 lol
It was 17+ years ago, dawg! Of course it is.
Still want a gameboy color :(
So, it's considered "Vintage" now?!? Shit, I know having 2 kids makes you feel old, but, taking a step back in time and it's all vintage.......wow.
I Think vintage is when styles and technology have evolved leaving behind laughable memories of what once was
so 90s are vintage
Man the days of aol, I was like 6 back then in 95, we would use the discs as frisbees lol
1995 is vintage? Good Lord!
I had the Kirby's Dreamland 2 game for Gameboy. Even though I loved Kirby, I was never able to get past level one for that game.
YAK BAK i want my old yak bak!!! :D
The Encyclopedia Britannica commercial really struck me. It's amazing to think that one had to go through all of that trouble, pay all of that money, for no more than a few gigabytes of information. All of this, in the year I was born.
Y'know, it's crazy.... I'm 30 years old, so in my lifetime, and during my school years no less, I've seen the transition from encyclopedias to the world wide web, and it was truly remarkable. And at the same time, I can remember watching the AOL commercials like the one here and not quite understanding what this was and thinking it wouldn't amount to much and would be forgotten eventually... In 1995, not many people outside of the IT realm could really comprehend that the age of information was about to dawn on us and what it would mean. I'll never forget what it was like when we first got the internet around 97-ish. I would be up until 3-4-5 in the morning because ANYTHING you had any interest in could be researched and there was so much information on it you weren't even able to take it all in - encyclopedias, books, and magazines were limited in terms of both content of interest as well as quantity whereas the internet was just limitless. There were actually a lot of people who literally became addicted to the net for a while. Hell, I can remember several times not long after we got it where I had ditched school and played sick just so I could stay home and surf. Then shortly after that, Napster came along and you could get ANY song you could think of without having to leave your house. Today, the internet is just another part of daily life, but when it first took off, it really was an amazing thing to bear witness to and be part of. I also remember thinking in the EARLY 90's how people got on before TV, and would ask my grandparents what it was like not having TV and also thought how it would be difficult not having it in life. I also wondered if I would ever see such an innovation like they did with TV. Now people around your age are wondering how humanity got on without the internet and cell phones LOL.
Holly shit....I'm old....
You're surprisingly well-spoken for someone who's not even twenty yet, maybe there is hope for the future
ahhh graduation year.
oooh I remember bubble tunes
Anyone else emotionally disturbed by those purple golden grahams guys...
@GrilloJ123 LMAO, he owned that little bugger of his sister with the one-two punch of "IS NOT! and "NO!".
PEANUT BUTTARRR!!!
man we all miss the '90's but 1995 wow I was little kid at the age 4 years old in 95 my parents didnt keep up with my age so I caluated it out myself I grew up good and everything I do the math with years from the year I was born in 1991 calculated to 1995 the age is 4 years old age don't lie but they say numbers don't lie man I am 25 years old now in 2016 next year I will be 26 years old in 2017 I am grown adult man but I am man 🚹 now came a long way from the 1990s took years to be over I never thought these years going crazy to see the 21st Century of the 2000s and 2010s to the next.
that toll free number didnt really change.. haha that peanut butter crunch commercial was my favorite i see why dead people and monsters like it, it scrapes the roof of your mouth !
i was only 8 when these came out but im surprised to remember 90% of them. i used to annoy the crap out of everybody with the yak bak. AOL chat man, ASL?? or those pervs, anyone wanna cyber??
yay I was born in '95
Agree
HAHAHAHAHA @ THAT AOL DIAL UP SHIT. OMG.
@KingOfTheClutch Well, it's been 15 years already, that's a decent amount of time. Reminiscing about 2005 on the other hand.....that wasn't too long ago!
Lol I think this was like the exact date that Die Hard with a Vengeance was released. Not that that's important...it's just...I know exactly what I was doing right about then. Crazy. I hear 1995 it makes me think "Playstation" "Batman Forever (has not aged well at ALL)" "Waterworld" "MORTAL KOMBAT!!" "Se7en"..
