That weight of the 883 really gets you when you’re going up a slope on a mountain road and need to flip a u turn on a tight 2 lane road. I have the Bolt so pretty similar. Thinking on a Rebel or something light and nimble... and without the oven part.
You should check out my 2 "Bike Swap" videos as after this ride we all switched bikes! This might provide a better indication of how they rated the Honda against there own. Generally they were both impressed with the low end torque of the Honda, and that it was only at the higher speeds that they were reminded that it was only a 500cc. Now they ride a 900cc and a 1200cc so the Honda's never going to be as fast, but it was nimble and great fun to ride.
Go with a Triumph, British, classic styling, well built, reliable and SO cool! Those 500 Rebels are a bit to 'mickey mouse' for my taste. The YAMAHA XV950R, could be had 2nd hand for a similar price to the Honda and is a proper bit of kit, great engine and bags of torque, defo worth a look!
@@TheBikingActor Yeah they call it the Bolt in the US. Moto-guzzi V7 III is also worth a look if you want a classic looking cruiser. Amazing value too!
Haha. You’d think 🤔 I’m actually planning to test tide the Classic 400 in the next few weeks weather permitting. It’s definitely worth a consideration especially with my budget constraints. My only concern is repairs. I always thought I’d end up with the Royal Enfield Classic 500 but they’ve decided to stop manufacturing it, so maybe not a good idea to buy one now, and Herald could be similar. I feel you’re pretty safe with a Honda, Yamaha and Triumph. Who knows where I’ll end up 😎 Thanks for all the advice.
Number one , it is not British bike anymore , number two I do not know how on earth you would like to spend over £10.000 on the bike with plastic clocks and "chrome" paint finish ;-) . With Honda at least you pay as much as it is worth .
Thanks for making this video. It was helpful.
New title -how to bond and build incredible friendships through riding. 😊
Ride out with friends are the best Mike 😉

Old men review a bike: more comfortable, my knees....etc. young men: buy the real deal, not a knockoff.

Haha. Just went out on a Triumph Bonneville T120. Very nice, but I know my limits 😎 Is the XV950 the Bolt? Looks very nice 👍

Surely Herald will do you a cracking deal on a Classic 400 after all the promotion you have given them??!
