Tham, having the same issue with mine, hoping is not the PZEV since I already changed a bunch of crap on it not knowing that the fuel pump was not working. Other than that you handled it and took that project like a true professional. Thanks for the vid and the positivity bro. Keep it up 👍
I want to thank you very much for posting this video. I was able to find the actual motor part number that's stamped on the bottom, not the one on the side. The part number is A2C53015091 and VDO makes the one I got shipped in under a week from Europe for $40 +$50 shipping so exact part identical configuration with a 2 year warranty for 90 bucks and some time vs $3800. It seems like this motor is used in many vehicles in my case it said it was for a Fiat Panda. But it's the identical part to what was in mine. hope this helps
@@MiamiMostSwaggest what about the wires? Did you reuse your old ones? I’m trying to see if mine are blown and can’t tell and it’s been difficult removing them from the housing
Great video. I was able to cut the hole in the tank with a 5” hole saw. My machinist is making an access port in case I need to replace the pump again. What is the part number for the Deko Fuel pump?
I really really appreciate the video I've done everything except by the pump can you please let me know where you purchase the pump at I also have a '07 Mercedes E350 PZEV
Thx for showing me how to get this done on my 07 E350. I did extra what u did. Ordered the motor for China. It took about 2 weeks to get to me. I couldn't drain the gas out of that side, because it has a saddle tank. When I cut the hole with a 5 inch hole bit, I used water to keep the bit cool, because I don't want to do it without doing that. Can cause a spark and blow u up. Then I used a 7 inch circle bit to cut the plate to cover the hole. With the motor from China, I had to modify it alittle, because the filter wouldn't fit exactly. I cut it down with an exacto knife and use jb weld. It worked perfectly. When I placed the plate on, I used jb weld around the the inside edges. Placed that on the hole and then used self tapping screws. Then, used more jb weld over the entire circle where the jb weld over the seld tapping screws. When I ordered the part, it she number that is on the bottom. Type that number in Google and the part will come up, but only with international company. I think I found the entire part at Walmart for $49. It was alittle different, but I think kit will work. The connectors on top is different, but everything else is the same. I think it will work. When u have to soder the wires on top is different. I hope this helps everyone. It worked for me and saved thousands . I used a parking sign I had at work for the plate. Worked great and it's thicker. Good luck everyone.
I got mine from Ali Baba, but any regular C240 of the same yr. or so has the same pump motor. If you follow my instructions, it should go fairly easy. Honestly, it was a really easy job.
I’d have to check. I don’t remember, but like I mentioned on another comment -the C240’s pump is the same. Order one for that car and pull out the pump. @@sergggtor
Great video. I just replaced my pump on the same PZEV w211. I have a very small amount of fuel seeping out of the cover I installed . I used a thin gasket What type of gasket did you use under the metal cover?
I appreciate you posting this video! There isn’t one like this anywhere so thank you. Mercedes quoted me for 7800 for a replacement with labor. This would be the second time the fuel pump would have gone out on me. First replacement was in 2019. Purchased the entire tank which cost me a little under $2000 and did the switch on my own well actually my father 😂. 5 years later, it’s out again. Could I pay you to come help do the exact same thing at a reasonable price or could you kindly direct me to where I could order the parts.
hey guys if you do this, be aware that your drill has sparks in the brushes. so i set up a fan to blow out any fumes, not an issue till you break thru the tank. be careful.
its in the vid. I used black RTV sealant and regular gas resistant gasket paper. Cut the gasket paper into a ring the size of the new cover. No need to cover the entire hole, just the edge of the cover that overlaps
I would pull out your pump first and then compare them. Reason why I know that a C240 and the like will work, is because I compared them at my local junkyard
@@edoardotestore9713 No, I don’t. Completely forgot to mention it in the vid. I really don’t remember. It’s a c230-240 etc. fuel pump. Just get a fuel pump for the same said model and compare it to the video.

I did. plus I used a brushless drill.
When you replaced the fuel sending until/filter, did you replace just the unit and reuse the old hoses that go across to the other side (fuel pump)?
