@bonzodog6872 You may know more than I but to the best of my knowledge succesful musician and songwriter Andy Partridge offered this song FOR SALE. You may say: 'This song was rejected because it is all shite'. I for one disagree. I think Andy's song has some (of his usual) twists and turns which make the song MORE interesting but LESS 'potentially a mainstream, Top 40 hit'. Nice day to you.
My musical tip to you and @bonzodog6872, and especially to Holly Partridge (were she to ever read this) is the song 'Please Daddy'. Written by Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert-Danoff, performed by the late & great John Denver and band. 'Please Daddy' appears on the beautiful 1973 album 'Farewell Andromeda'.
Your 'witty' comment really doesn't work since the official title of the compilation is already very self-deprecating. But at least your talent for joke-writing is consistent with your appreciation for song-writing.
What a great song thanks for putting it on youtube
Heathen's Greetings!
Noice post post-Christmas letdown rebirth dirty!

He should have called these collections "songs I couldn't even give away" or "the shite nobody wanted"
What are the great songs you have written?

It's a bit whimsical, childlike, and clichéd but that's sort of the point of Christmas songs, mate
