Great video! Too few actually show the full runs...and from the cross-talk, you guys did excellent in classifying as you worked. Could almost make this a training vid for new blokes. Dry prospecting, or wet sluices, you still can't beat the old blue bowl for those flour finish clean-ups.
The more I research and play in the dirt, the more I am coming to the conclusion that the most important part is, "Classify, classify, classify!" And automate as much as possible ^^
I use classifiers/strainer to separate the material into different size runs for the bowl, i classify/strain down to 30, 50 and 100 mesh and run all the material smaller than 30 mesh through the bowl. Once i have run the material i use a snuffer bottle to blow all the gold to the outer rim and suck it up.
You're just making it take longer by squirting water in the bowl. It has to go back to where you squirted it from, making the process start all over again. Be patient and let it do its job!
Hey @00Shivan00 Will the blue bowl remove beach type sand or Only black sand? Where I live and prospect, it is always sand left at the end of my pans. I am aware I am looking for flour gold which is why I want to invest in the Blue Bowl, but no one has been able to give me an answer if it will remove beach type sand? I fear I am losing a lot of fine flour gold in the sand. - Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
G'day mate, by beach sand i assume you are talking about blonde sand or quartz sand? The blue bowl will remove the blonde (quartz) sand as it is lighter than the black sand and gold. It should work well on beach sand, but classification is the key to the blue bowl in my opinion, as it works on specific gravity. If you think you are missing gold in your sand you may be better to get a 50 mesh and 100 mesh classifier first. Classify down the material and re-pan. If you are missing gold you could then try the blue bowl, but if you are not missing gold no need to fork out the extra cash.
Well hello! Yes my apologies, quartz sand. I will definitely have to classify in more stages from now on! Where I live is mostly flower gold, and I am new to prospecting so I just want to make sure I am doing every right step along the way! Thank you kindly for your reply :)
The blue bowl is a great bit of kit if you have a lot of cons to process. I normally wait till i have about 5-10 ltrs of concentrates and that will keep me busy for half a day. But all in all we do not seem to miss much panning. Yes if you are worried about missing the fine stuff when panning off, screen the consentrates down to a finer mesh or try smaller loads in the pan. Much cheaper way to see if you are missing anything. Good luck with it and happy hunting.
You can find gold in arid, dry places. It will depend on the geology of the area. Do you know if gold has been found in the area you wish to search? You would be better looking at dry processing methods rather than wet processing, unless you have easy access to water. Look into dryblowing and dry panning.
One of the absolute best methods to prospect 'desert sands' (in my opinion) is to use a 'dry gold-drum'. Search 'gold-drum' to watch a video on it (concrete-mixer modifed, basically) and from it, you'll get your concentrates. Now, classify your concentrates and either pan or bowl to get down to the gold or super-cons. Magnet out your magnetite, if you have problems, and retort your mercury-coated gold, if it's a problem in your area. Most any place (ancient or modern) that has a history of local gold mining will still have gold. No place that ever had it, had it all removed. That's a start, until you learn more about 'where to find it'. The foot of mountains, granite bases, heavy black sands, are all good indicators - so are locations known for quartz, feldspar or diamonds (in my area, turquoise and garnets are good indicators, too).
Oh, and make sure you use a drop of 'Jet Dry' or other low-sudsing soap in your concentrate processing water. This will break surface tension on your gold, especially if it is 'dry mined'. If you don't, air will 'stick' to your gold and will lessen its overall density, causing it to float out during the working of your cons.
i added a vibrator to my blue bowl it clears alot faster with it on try tapping it repeditivly u will see how a vibrator would help and hey find me on facebook or my club empire gold mining
I have been looking at doing something like that, but have not got round to it yet. A great idea thanks for the suggestion.
Nice Colors

Do you need a strainer to collect the gold? , if so what shoould the strainer's measurements be?

Thanks very helpful!
I never thought about that hehe, maybe they need to make a ne model for us down under.

Nice colors🎊🎊🤩🇵🇷🇵🇷
great job!
Ah I see the problem...your blu bowl water is spinning in the wrong direction!!!(from British Columbia -Canada... Good vid!
I use a bilge pump for pumping water with the blue bowl, 800gph from memory.
Just looked and it's 1100gpm

What kind of soil did you use?

or is that beach style sand you have in the beginning?

What Town/Suburb did you go? Australia?
+Benjamin W Consentrates were from Oallen Ford
had to turn the sound off, that poor baby in the back ground
mesmerizing
can I still get gold anywhere in this way or there are specific places I need to get the concentrates from????
+saif hashim Depends on where you are from. We are able to go for a dig recreationally, but there are also places you can buy paydirt from.
Can I find it in desert sand
I live in a country where most of the place is a desert

blue bowl have misteike i fihed that mistake and i very hapy
How much will it cost
We would have been between $120-$150 for the bowl, leg leveler's, bilge pump and hose. There were some good buys on ebay from the prospecting channel.
+00Shivan00 - This is where I got mine. Fast shipper too! Very happy with that seller.
Mine doesn't run that fast,only a trickle 😮
It would probably have to do with the size of pump you are running.
@00Shivan00 I have ordered a bigger 1.
Will try then.being a female I don't know much about these things.
@@annedunn5859 My bilge pump is 800 gph.
Think the new 1 is 1000 litres a minute
That seems like it may be a bit too much.
800 gph is about 50 lpm.
What size is the pump you are currently using?
