You don't think when you are trying to enter in IT as peoject manager fron non-IT background then very 1st question to you, howmany IT you done & howmuch experience in IT domain, if you tried to bluff regarding experience in IT domain then immediate technical interviewer throw the bouncer, then how you will handle.. as you told case of your sister... Undoublty coding not required but IT domain knowledge is required to switch as IT Project manager.

No, big companies don’t have any eligibility criteria when u appear through coding competitions in their recruitment process. So try appearing for different coding competitions organised by companies to get the opportunity
