best way is to use the limited vocabulary to communicate with people. pick up new vocabulary or way of delivering back to you via text, speaking or listening from them. good way is to watch or listen everyday conversation.
I remember in each anime i learnt many Japanese word phrases In jujutsu kaisen/yowaimo,ganbare , ryoik tenkai, sensei, mada mada , In Naruto/detibayou ,oojisan ,haha, In attack on titen/yameru,kore ga chiyuda ,mamuryou, sekaiwa ,shinzou sasangou ,tatake, In kimi no nawa /anta wa dare In violet over garden/ suki desu And also sometimes i see some Japanese word is same as my colleagues 's name in college such as there is someone in my class his name (asa) any time i see him it reminds me asa is morning in Japanese aso my sister's is sara it remindes me osara in Japanese is dish also chichi in my language is what what, and tokei (watch) in my language is who are you always i look for such type ideas to keep Japanese in my mind also teacher your name remind me Sasuke in Naruto Shippuden
It's very hard. You guys speak so fast. When learning hirigana you guys say some characters a 'ra' 're' 'ri' 'ru' 'ro' but you guys pronounce "L" as "R" and "R" as "L" which is very frustrating for English learners. No japanese person I listen to ever say "r" or "L" words properly. However you stress the right pronunciation for japanese... Pronunciation in English is important too!
I would say everyone has different ways and approaches to learn second language. And from my experience (learning English), watching TV shows and movies didn’t help me at all at the beginning of my English journey. But, when I reached the certain level, they are very helpful! That’s why I recommend not to watch anime especially at the beginning. Focus on learning grammar and vocabulary. Practice speaking. And watch anime to improve your listening. You can try a lot of ways and find the way which is most helpful to you 👍
