@@diversedesign4844 I could not find anyone to clean the rug professionally. We would take the rug out on the driveway to rinse and scrub the rug, it still felt duty and stinky.
The real handmade ones are washed by the artisans before being sold. I take my wool ones outside on the lawn every year, wash with a soft broom and baby shampoo, rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse, dry upside down in sun on slats to hold off the lawn. Works perfectly.
So interesting. Rug turned out great. No loud music which is a huge bonus. Well done

To clean a rug efficiently, especially to rinse it well, you need a certain amount of water. Water can be cleaned and reused if wanted.
