- I think this took me about 8-9 months to complete, working on it sporadically while doing other jobs and projects. It was challenging, and I'm not 100% satisfied with it, but I figured at some point it just had to get done; and finishing it around the same time The Warning's new album released seemed like a good time! Usually I have a clearer idea of the arrangement in my head before starting, but I only had bits and pieces this time. I really like the song, though, so I wanted to tackle it and see what can be done. But it was a good experience, and there are definitely skills I will carry forward with me, as well as things I know need improvement. And I used a harp this time! Then I buried it in the mix!
Enjoy!
Created with the BBC Symphony Orchestra Core library from Spitfire Audio.
WOW! Movie sound track material!
Marvelous! …in the purest sense of the word.🤩
I had to revisit all of these after watching the new Gladiator movie because they blew it! All 3 of these could’ve & should’ve been in a movie like that! “Martirio” would’ve been perfect for the end credits! Fantastic job! ⚡️🤘
This is pure genius on top of pure genius. Thanks!✌️❤️🔥
It sounds so badass and adventure-like
Awesome rendition. i enjoyed it thoroughly. i felt a lump on my throat because this beautiful version made me realize how much more of a masterpiece Martirio actually is.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
I CRIED A LOT WITH THIS MASTERPIECE OF GODS!!!
Omg!! This would be an awesome soundtrack for a fantasy movie
Wow! This is really amazing. DPA would be so proud. Great work. I really hope they get to hear it.
Thanks! Yeah, would be great if they heard it.
Send it to Rudy!
Phil, you have some skills my friend!
Thanks for the kind words!
I was envisioning a movie while listening. No idea what I was seeing, but it would be great. Was a little shocked hearing violins doing Ale's bass run!! Shocked in a good way.
Haha, I think I had almost all the instruments playing that little run. Sometimes you've just gotta take an Yngwie Malmsteen "more is more" approach. Thanks for listening!
@@PhilAbucay You laid bare their classical roots Phil.
Thanks for the brilliant arrangement.
This just proves how great The Warning songs really are... Awesome job Phil!!!
I would love to hear this as the soundtrack to a movie.
Next step: Overlay from the Warning to your arrangemet. It's amazing!❤🔥
Enhorabuena. Saludos desde Venezuela.
This absolutely amazing, I'm a big Warning fan, and this is just perfect.. Thank you
for a beautiful classical cover.
Thanks for listening!
O M G!!!! This is incredible!! My favorite song by The Warning and this has been done with such passion and love! This is truly fantastic! It's like listening to a great movie soundtrack! The moods, the highs, the lows!! So awesome! Thank you for this amazing work and sharing it with us!!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for listening!
I am at a loss for words. I always loved the melodies of this song, but dang. You have taken it a totally different place ❤❤
This is incredible. Awesome Job.
After hearing your Dust to Dust/Dull Knives versions I always hoped you would do more of The Warning! This is one of my favorite songs and you did amazing yet again! I hope to see more from you in the future!
Thanks, really appreciate it!
@@PhilAbucayWhat's wrong with the sound? I can't hear the music?
I had to translate this one on Google...thank you! I appreciate the kind words and I'm glad everyone is enjoying these orchestral versions. I would love to do more, but they are very time consuming! So I'm taking a break from it for now. Maybe I'll do some other music project or something completely unrelated to music in the meantime, but one day I'll come back to the orchestral stuff!
@@PhilAbucay Oh please do!
@@PhilAbucayI think the Warning woul like this since they started playing classical music when kids.
This sounds like it would be the credit theme for a Dragon Quest game
Direct to the Game of Thrones Saga. Epic work my friend!!!
Thank you!
Excellent!! I would love to see what you can do with Revenant.
Revenant ended up being my favourite track from the new album, and there are parts where I felt some kind of orchestral accompaniment could work. I probably won't do something like that anytime soon, but it would be a fun project!
I shared on my page with a little more than 1000 followers on facebook the link of your video and about 10 seconds of the beginning so that more people come to see your work. I hope they come to see it 🙏🏼🔥
Hey that's awesome; thanks for sharing it!
The Warning "effect " is marvelous, thank you Phil.🤘🤘🤘
Sounds perfect for a "Conan the Barbarian"-style epic fantasy movie
Excellent!!
It's totally epic man! Full standing ovation
Esto es asombroso !! 💯💯❤️🇲🇽
Journey tô the center of the Earth...👍⚡💥😀👍
TW is ready to cooperate with e.g. the NuDeco Ensemble. Thanks for this arrangement.

Wow 😱😱😱😱😍😍😍😍
I had to come back! Great music is great music. This is amazing and so well done!
Appreciate the listen!
🤟🇲🇽🤟🇲🇽🤟🇲🇽
❤TWA🤘
An incredible arrangement. It would fit right in a film score like a hand inside a glove. Simply brilliant. If I may, though, my only critique is the snare is a bit too prominent in the score.
Thanks! I don't mind any kind of criticism. In all of these arrangements I think the one constant thing I struggled with was not having a drum kit to help drive the music forward like it does in a rock song. I try to use the percussion section in a similar way and the snare just ends up being the primary instrument in that area. I appreciate your thoughts!
Wow I loved it!
Has a bit of a Bolero feel. The original sounds like it has a classical influence itself at the start.
I didn't have that in mind, but I can hear it now!
you look amazing. Great job 🤘
wow realmente hermoso, gracias
🔥🔥🔥
THE WARNING EN CADA TEMA DEMUESTRAN QUE SON UN GRUPO DE ROCK DE MUCHO TALENTO CON TEMAS MUSICALMENTE SOLIDOS Y LETRAS CON PROFUNDOS CONTENIDOS , TW ROCK INTELIGENTE
¡BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTAL!
I’ve mixed rock bands that had me run classical orchestral music as they took the stage, then cut it off on the downbeat. Imagine The Warning using this as they get set for Z
Why is there no sound?😢
Love it!
Am I hearing a bit of Nobuo Uematsu in there?
Possibly! He's definitely one of my musical influences, but I didn't consciously draw from him when doing the arrangement. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for listening!
this is amazing, what software did you use to create this?
Thanks! I used the BBC Symphony Orchestra Core plugin from Spitfire Audio. Programmed everything in Cakewalk and mixed in Pro Tools.
@@PhilAbucay Thank you for the info! Good job on everything too!
@@PhilAbucay I have another question if that isn't too bothersome, how did you compose the music yourself so accurately? The notes and everything I mean.
@@TheWarningRockBand Just a lot of careful listening! Listen to a part, like maybe just the vocal melody, then use a keyboard to figure out the notes. Then I assign one of the orchestra instruments to that part. There are really only three basic melodic parts (vocals, guitar, bass), so once I can get the general idea of what they are I can just build on them however I like. It helps that I have musical training so I'm not just poking around in the dark, and I can mostly understand what I'm hearing, but there is still a lot of trial and error to see what works because I didn't really learn orchestral composition specifically.
@@PhilAbucay ahh I see I see, I thank you again!
Hello! No, I don't have anything to do with Westworld. They have been doing orchestral versions of popular songs since the first season, and they're all pretty amazing! If anything, I was inspired by Westworld to do these. Thanks for listening!
Wow!
