Another early 80s show of the Tubes I missed in its original airing (no cable). The asian Sushi girl was a featured dancer in the movie Xanadu. Bill Spooner in his better days with the band, and all the original Tubes members who made the band phenomenal. One of the very rare times I've seen Fee Waybill attempt to play guitar, very cool and an unscripted interview afterwards...priceless.

The Tubes are bloody amazing, really.
Remember this performance as a kid
I wish NBC would allow us to see this amazing footage in the best quality.
Watched it live and that was the first time I REALLY wanted a VCR.....
I have a much better quality copy of this performance. I've already digitized it to audio. Guess I need to do the video part, now.
The Tubes and Tom. There were lots of cool bands on that show.Great late night TV back then.Back when you could smoke everywhere 🚬
Bill broke into the studio one night to record the vocal. I'm really glad he did!
Holy cow - I watched this not long before going into the army.
Fee on guitar??!! Awesome!!! Bill and he should have made Don't Want to Wait Anymore a duet more often!!!!
7:47 is magic Spooner.
