    Excellent video. I had an opportunity to get used Cr in 2010 at a great price and passed it up, uggh. But I bought a pristine '02 AP1 in 2011 and still love it.

    Anytime I see an ABP I try to see if it’s my old one. It went to a guy I Orlando. Saw it on Bring a trailer awhile back. Apparently it was in a pretty bad wreck but still sold for a mint. There’s a little factory imperfection in the passenger seat I look for.

    Thanks so much for your videos of S2000 . I still plan to make a big order from you. Can I still order a new top from you?? Black Of course. Thanks Ron Carroll

      Thanks for the comment. We only offer the oem top with installation. The blue was discontinued 2 years ago, so black is the only option.

    Could you just drive the CRX home with a friend driving right behind you? I drove my Miata for 2 weeks with no tag when I first got it because I was waiting on a special plate to come in. No issues whatsoever.

    whats the cheapest way to get some extra HP? test pipe and exhaust or will i get the same gains with just a test pipe? I don't wanna mess with ecu's, mine is a 04 (uk ap1) so an ecu will be too expensive for me.

    Ever had an s2000 where the VTEC oil sensor its self is leaking from the inside out to the connector? I'm having this issue and I've checked everything else on the solenoid by replacing every gasket with an OEM one straight from honda. Last thing left for me to do is replace the sensor itself but $100 is a hefty price for a sensor IMO. I have no choice though otherwise it will just continue to leak.

    • @LHTPerformance
      @LHTPerformance  ปีที่แล้ว

      We see this a lot. It sucks, but the Vtec solenoid is leaking itself. The aluminum get porous. The only fix is to replace the whole thing.

    • @jTamayo34
      @jTamayo34 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LHTPerformance Sorry I forgot to mention that the solenoid is new however it is a Skunk2 solenoid. But it was leaking like this before with the original solenoid as well and had a changed all the gaskets on that one also.

    • @LHTPerformance
      @LHTPerformance  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jTamayo34 I don’t know anything about the Skunk2 one. I would always go with oem.

    • @jTamayo34
      @jTamayo34 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LHTPerformance I agree. Im a big advocate for OEM, however I do think some aftermarket parts are ok. If the issue is resolved by replacing the VTEC sensor, I will come back and comment on this section to let you guys know so that it may help you in the future if you guys run in to a customer with the same aftermarket part and issue. Thank you!

      @@jTamayo34 We see about 200 S2000s a year. We see the Vtec solenoid leaking on many of them. First step we clean it and replace every gasket, fingers crossed that fixes it , which it does 75% of the time. If not, we replace the whole unit. We keep them in stock as it’s a very common problem.
