The second verse is probably one of the best I've heard in my life. The flow, the beat, the lyrics(he's talking about money the whole time, but still makes it sounds intersting, and tons of double entendres etc). Sounds like a prime 90s rapper who time travelled to the 2010s
The first verse is a continuation of the YS theme: YS is Logic taking about wanting to make it. YSII is him on the come up. YSIII is him about to pop and talking about the excitement of the come up/warning future self about ensuring he sticks to the principles that got him to that point. YSIV is him discussing the perks/trappings of "making it": the highs of selling out the MSG vs the lows of being dissed by everyone in the hip hop/black media, and/or day1 fans saying he's not the same rapper as the YS Logic from his mixtape days. Verse 2 is a metaphoric verse from the perspective of money ala "I gave you power" by Nas where the story is portrayed from the perspective of a gun. It's the metaphoric perspective of what money can do to those in the upper echelons of life/what Logic is experiencing in terms of his life being completely different. It's also a flex, showing how much he's matured lyrically, how his story telling has evolved to go from writing about his reality in the first tense, to creating stories/parables that can tell the story of his reality, as well as still keeping with the theme of his previous YS songs that internally warn him of the path ahead.
Young Sinatra and Bobby Tarantino are two different characters with a different sound, like it or not. I'm not digging that "Logic is Logic” bs. You can't really think YSIV is the same thing with, let's say, Bobby Tarantino II.

"people without me makes no sense" people without logic makes no sense and also people without money make no cents man logic doesnt get enough credits for his god lyrics
Is that a double or quadruple entendre??
@@joshwilliams9922 yeah۔۔۔

No matter what year im in im current, see (currency)
Love the fact he mentioned Drake, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar
Fr
One of those ain't like the other
He also mentions the old school ones, such as Nas, Jay, RZA, Big L 🔥 y'all new schoolers
Uh and Mac Miller
Joshua Brown well yea, thats his grand tribute
People just ignore this album and continue to call logic a corny sellout. He’s a great for sure.
people just following their favorite meme page opinions, while i think supermarket and COADM are not very good they still act like he’s never made anything good because they never listened but a meme page said that
@@waveyy2468 honestly i never thought of supermarket as a logic album. i think of it as a bobby hall album, and imo it was alright
Lots of people judge logic off his confessions and supermarket album. They also take a lot of his cringe bars out of context and stereotype him. Don’t get me wrong, he has a lot of cringe bars and a couple terrible albums but the rest of his stuff is pretty good. I personally think he’s better than j cole
6 years later this track sounds so fresh
That second beat had me crying in my room. Thank you logic
This bringing the same feelings I had in my life back when I used to listen to his old shit and made this year 10x better for me
3 years later still one of the hardest tracks out there. From the top to the bottom
I wish I knew about the Logic from way back then in order to know how nostalgic this would feel
Just listen to the tapes chief. All you needa do.

I can't describe how much I love this song.
His music sounds like old school hip-hop and that’s why I love it
I mostly listen to old school rap and the only new rapper i like is logic. Even his last album i can tolerate.

There's 3 types of logic now
1) Logic

This young man is Hip Hop hands down and his tracks are the bomb... Two fingers..
R.I.P Mac, straight 🔥🔥🔥
Now this is quite the song to add to my collection of fine masterpieces.
Logic is slept on and he’s one of the best rappers in this generation 👑
I fucking love the second beat, this is one of his best songs, anyone agree??? Who else still listening in July 2021
Yes
Now I think it s tíme to switch to lyricism

Goddamn love this song. Dedicated to Mac Miller, and just an overall banger in general
this is a really chill song
Logic will single handedly save rap.
Like me when i single handedly saved the earth by getting millions of trees planted

Triple. Wrong. There are many artists who are saving rap right now

That second verse was a masterpiece! Should have made it into a whole song. Either way, I love this. I was listening to the YSIV freestyle everyday before the album was released but the verses sound better on this beat.
i used to bump this all the time, glad i found this song again 🫳🏿🧠
I am hated, but thats how you know i made it...Wow too real...
Wow, did not expect that money story. That was dope as hell!
It sounds alot like spose Andrew Jackson at least lyrically

Hearing him talk about Mac at the end of the track really had me tearing up. I love and miss him too man
I’m happy that Logic is making Mac be remembered, Logic is gonna be a goat - if he’s not already - and Mac will be remembered because of him.
Arson Mac Will be remembered because of Mac I respect logic but just because he said his name on this song doesn’t mean that’s why he’s gonna be remembered. Mac Miller’s legacy will never be tainted in this industry. He changed the game like logic said, he showed that you can be independent and still have success without being signed to a label, with out Mac Miller a lot of rappers would not be here today and I’m talking about a lot. Rip Mac Miller the legend 🙏🏼💯
Very well said i was about to make a similar reply but no need now
2010... Rest Easy Mac, thank you. I appreciate you, love you, miss you.. 💙🙏🏼 that hit me..
This is pure hip hop .. Logic you are amazing man ! Big up from Bulgaria !
Spent every day over the past 4 months walking to work listening to this album. One of his best.
Melexdra Ikr I bump this everyday while walking to work, track never gets old.
@@SuperAbeTV such a solid tune man
👌
Jazz and hip hop mix so well. I was not expecting the piano to come in with Blue in Green
The piano at 2:45 when the beat switches is incredible. From what I can tell, that is Kevin Randolph playing and not a sample. Can anyone confirm?
Yes that’s Kev
logic has the Mind Of a Maniac and he will be Stain In The Game for a long while, making top charts more than One time but for now he is in The Spotlight and he will stay up till 5AM recording his songs even though he is Under Pressure, hes probably chillen in the City Of Stars, collecting money, but his dreams are Deeper Than Money, he even made a character called Black Spiderman and made 44 More dollars off that. what an Ordinary Day
Slick
The second verse will always make me cry. Since he mentioned Mac in the very beginning and this was the last.
This song is one of my all time favourites. I listened to this album while I was going through a really tough time, and Logic inspired me to push forward and follow my dream to make music. Thanks logic.
Went to a logic concert back in 2015 and tickets were $27. I just went to one this week and front row tickets were $1100. That’s how you know logic is winnin

REAL.TRUE HIP HOP RIGHT HERE.
[Intro]
It's that Young Sinatra IV shit right here
(Rest in peace Mac Miller)
It's been like 10 years
Here we go (Yeah)
[Verse 1]
Visualizin' and realizin' my life is fuckin' crazy
Poppin' like JAY-Z, Dirty Dancin' on the game like Swayze
I'm one of the illest and bitch
I've been ready to kill it, it's so amazing
Bitch, I've been blazin', I'm talkin' grass, I ain't talkin' grazing
They just hit the tape while I sip scotch
Let the haters kick rocks, my shit is tip-top
I never flip-flop, why? 'Cause my soul too strong
Did this all on my own, 'cause waiting took too long
The flow sophisticated
All these youngins do is whine like they inebriated
I'm hated, but yeah, that's how you know I made it
I'm one of the illest, I'm one of the realest, I'm ready to kill this
The people, they feel us, me and my team made millions
But you know we still us
That's why they wanna kill us, that's why they wanna kill us
RattPack, real all the time, we never phony
I'm single-handedly running the game like a Sony
While the rest of these rappers is acting
Pass 'em the Tony, pass 'em the Oscar
From the new school rappers, yeah I'm the illest on the roster
Smoke like a rasta
Black and white like Bob Marley, yeah, like Bob Marley
These racist motherfuckers hate that last line
Probably haters on the internet ain't got nothing to bargain
Said I'd never make it, bitch, I just sold out the Garden [Chorus: AZ & Logic]
Life's a bitch and then you die, that's why we get high
'Cause you never know when you're gonna go
Life's a bitch and then you die, that's why we get high
'Cause you never know when you're gonna go
Life's a bitch and then you die, that's why we get high
'Cause you never know when you're gonna go. [Logic]
Life's a bitch and then you die, that's why we sip scotch
Like Sinatra, screamin', "Motherfuck the cops"
[Verse 2]
They say they want the old Logic, the one that flow like a faucet I'm still the same me, they just don't believe it like they agnostic
If I spit over the boom-bap, then they perceive it as nostalgic
But the truth is, my subject matter has been the same
And my production selection is still flame
But they love you on the come up 'cause you ain't tainted by fame And you still they little secret
That's the type of bullshit that they frequent
From 19, to 2019, been murderin' this shit for a decade
From the boom-bap to the trap, I let my shits cascade (Listen, yeah, yeah)
So what's the dealy? Pass the Phillie, get silly, that's on the really
We snappin' like Uma Thurman in Kill Bill, I'm talkin' achilles
Try to play me like I ain't me, but I provided all the deets'
Who you know worth 50 million, still rappin on break beats?
From Nasty Nas, Big-L, Tribe, The Roots, and many more
Of course we could never forget Biggie and young Shakur
Fuck the police, no we ain't fuckin' with Al Pastor
I'm the bastard that mastered the flow, I said it once before fa' sho'
While 6ix produce the kicks from the soul, you already know
Fuck these youngins talking outta they ass with no class
I'm here to school 'em
This that real shit, I'm never foolin'
I'm killin' these squares, we call it a massacre
I got the bread, but these fuckers need the dough like a baker
The legends above me love me like the RZA, like Nas, like Jay 'Cause I mastered the flow from back in the day
Respected by my peers from Drizzy to Cole to Kenny
Thank you for the love and inspiration plenty
Yeah, I'm loved by many, and only hated by a little [Verse 3]
Now I think it's time to switch to lyricism, peep the riddle
I was born in mint condition, I'm everybody's life's mission
All right, listen, put me 'round your neck and I might glisten
The ultimate connect, I'll get you anything you need
From good credit to good weed
I can make any woman succeed
Control you with a heart of greed
Along with anybody that's in need, I'll make 'em beg and plead
I'm in the pocket of mafia crime lords and presidents
Without me, they'll evict you from your residence
Hov wrote about me on "Dead Presidents," never irrelevant
Not a soul on earth would love me if I weren't me
No matter what year I'm in, I'm current, see?
People that have me, yeah, they power's so immense
But people without me, make no sense, god damn
Yeah, the world revolve around me, the law evolve around me
The shit people do to get a piece of me astound me
Blood stains my face when drug deals go wrong
I'm given to the greatest athletes when they go long
You could put me in check
But I'm still laughing all the way to the bank
I'm the reason that the Titanic sank
I'm always there for you, yeah, when it comes down to the wire And some people even tuck me away 'til they retire
I usually come around on the first and fifteenth
If you owe me to somebody then they'll leave you beneath
People go crazy when they feel me
In the Middle East they drill me
If you let your guard down, then some people'll steal me
I knew these two dudes that's always been homies since fifth grade
Always schemin' on the block, selling crack to get paid
Now they never graduated, thought that shit a charade
Only thing on they mind that wasn't me was get laid
Then one day, they had a falling out on the block
See, one thought the other one had been stealing his rock
'Cause he coulda sworn he had more weight in his stock
Pulled out the Glock and his homie yelled, "Stop!"
But before he had the chance to pull the trigger
Oh shit here come the cops
They saw the gun and blew them both away
Now there's two more kids dead in the street all before twenty Over me, the most important thing to man: money
Send this up!
That was divine 🥂
