I’m 9 months pregnant and am up every two hours so I wake up to the ambient sound at the end and just rewind all night. I think I’ve heard maybe the first 20 minutes max. 😂 Really enjoying what I’ve heard so far!

I have tried several different sleep story makers and also have the “Calm” app. I have learned that there are several things that make a good sleep story for me. Tone and cadence of the speaker’s voice, background sounds and overlapping music varying with speakers voice and never overpowering the speaker, and fitting with the ambiance of the storyline. Inflections but not so much so that I feel jolted. You, Sam have somehow created my perfect sleep story. It doesn’t hurt that you have a lovely bit of Scottish accent either.😉 thank you!!!

I keep forgetting to come and thank you for these creations. As the PROUD Mother of a trans son, I cannot support anything that allows J.K.R. to make money. My son and I fell in love with the Trotter world, and were devastated when J.K.R. came out as hateful and dark hearted. Now you've come along and found a way to share the Trotter world with us once again. We are both immensely grateful! I have begun sharing this around the trans community, so that others who love the stories, but not the creator, can once again be immersed in the world, whilst having the comfort of knowing that this amazing creator does not wish anything but love and happiness for the LGBTQIA+ community. You would be surprised how much something as seemingly simple (as being able to enjoy a story about a world we had grown to love) can mean.

I meant to just have a quick listen and skip through out of curiosity with a view to using this as the last part of my broken sleep. I remember seeing Sam's white jumper, hearing his wonderful comforting voice and the amazing ambience and the next thing I knew I woke up with the phone under my hand, nothing on and hours later. I love your channel. You are a great story teller. For some reason I sleep better to a deep male voice rather than a female voice. I think the deeper voice instills some kind of safety or protection.

Hi fox. I never read the books or saw the movies, but I love all sam's HP stories. It's so cool that we don't really need to know anything about HP to enjoy these wonderful tales!
Ach I get you - it was either something peopel grew up with, or wound up influenced by the films, or some other circumstance. I've personally not read many of the books, and haven't seen the films in ages! But I do find them comforting as they remind me of when I was a lot younger - the first book / film was 20-25 years ago now. Mad! S x

@@SnoozewithSam Just throwing this out there RE the Potter series and measuring the impact on relaxation and (hopefully) eventually, sleep. I do not think one needs to be familiar with the stories to get the full level of relaxation one seeks. I might even argue that having little to no knowledge or familiarity with the books/movies would be a great advantage (this is based on subjective experience. Knowing how my own brain works, if I were familiar I would be kept awake wanting to know how Sam spins some of these tales). At any rate....Sam, I would suggest trying to write and perform original tales. I think this would achieve a couple things. Firstly, no one would be familiar, so according to my previous point I would hypothesize more folks would find deeper relaxation more quickly. Secondly, I think you Sam would find this practice refreshing and rewarding. Something to put in your tank to keep this going full steam. Cheers to you and your commitment.
