Yes the chamber is not rotating with hammer because unfortunately the arm for rotation of chamber was missing. I'm curious it was possibly result of squib load for last shooting bullet that was stuck inside the barrel. While shooting that bullet something weird happened and projectile got stuck in barrel and the cartridge case with a massive recoil broke the arm of rotation of chamber and lost. But still hope you will enjoy this video.
Anyways check out my Facebook Page maybe i will upload shooting video there: facebook.com/randomhands
I was wondering if you would need to blue all of the steel parts to keep the gun from rusting again. You may want to look into doing it yourself or getting it done.
FYI I have seen some comments stating that bluing is needed.

should have named it “vintage pew pew shooter”
Alternative title: Revolver.
THANK YOU for doing electolytic cleaning and not going straight for the grinder, as so many idiots do.
Your metalwork was professional. I would recommend against wire brushing chambers or bores under power, though. A repeated rodding will clean both, and if need be, a chamber reamer will clean the chambers. Then use buffing compound or shoot a few loads with buffing compound on lead bullets.
While a hot blue or parkerized finish is preferred (and can be done in any garage), a slow rust blue is easier if more time consuming, and cold chemical blue would provide some protection from the elements.
If it's missing a hand (to rotate the cylinder), that is an easy item to fabricate or locate for a mass produced revolver. Just ensure the timing and alignment are correct.
I don’t want to ask why you know so much bout guns but at the same time welcome to America
I like how he uses "vintage shooting weapon" instead of gun lmao

It's an English revolver made by Webley & Scott Ltd. around the turn of the last century.
It served the British military for over 60 years, and was one hell of a workhorse.
It is a civilian model, recognizable by the safety blocking bar behind the hammer.
Than was a rather rare accessory.
It was chambered to fire a rather potent .455 Eley cartridge, but many that were imported to the USA were "converted" to fire the .45acp cartridge by machining down the rear of the cylinder to make way for two "half-moon" spring steel clips which each held three of the 45acp cartridges.

Let us know if you ever decide to put it back into service please. Or, if you ever want to sell it, you'll be pleased to know that it's serial number denotes that it was made prior to the year 1898, which means it is considered to be an antique, and therefore able to be sold without having to go thru a dealer and all that transfer paperwork.
I would be interested, if you ever want to sell.

What I always find amazing is the people who design these weapons. All the thoughts, drawings and dimensions that fit together on paper. Making all those intricate small parts that fit precisely as intended. To me, that's what the finish product ecompasses, the vision, the dream and at the end of all that hard work, a thing of beauty..
The restorer brings all that back to life again and help us appreciate such machinery.
and then used for killing and find it in a lake lo
You are right, truly amazing. He did a wonderful job on the old Webley. Go take a look at some of the mechanical watch rebuilds and repairs. The people who do the guns and the watches are just as remarkable and talented as surgeons. And paid a hell of a lot less.
@@lewiswereb8994 ...I went to the museum a couple of years ago here in NY and was mesmerized by the guns made during the late 1800s. The ones shown were gifts for dignitaries and they were master pieces. I just stood there staring at them. The same with swords and suits of armor.

It looks a lot like a British Webley revolver to me, I'm guessing it's caliber is somewhere around .38/200 judging by it's small size and the diameter of the bore. Nice find and good restoration job.
It was designed by Webley and Scott and RSAF Enfield in 1887. No wonder it's rusty and it's legendary, nobody know where's it come from. They made from UK. Its service history is 1887-1970.

If you look close enough when he pulls the trigger the cylinder does not turn with every trigger pull so there is still something mechanically broken maybe the arm that spins the cylinder. So it will not fire.
if you manualy load and spin it would it fire?
@@phoenixkotsapa2099 yes but I wouldn't recommend it the timing has to be precise otherwise it will fire but out of linear accordance with the forcing cone and could potentially blow up the revolver

I doubt the barrel is salvageable any way. Considering the level of rust, pitting and that it still had a squib stuck in it I'd bet money that the barrel needs to be reamed out and completely re-lined along with all the chambers. It's utterly unsafe to fire even after this restoration otherwise. Oh and the head spacing and cylinder alignment are probably fucked too.
