I'm not a agate person so I particularly enjoyed the part 1. I pick up granites and odd shapes and slab them. I love the different types of rocks and I want to see what's inside. I missed comments as it flowed to the next in my play list. I appreciate both your channel and old guy Khris.. hes not old by the way! Beautiful views today
I really enjoy the videos Kris puts out. He finds the most scenic spots where nobody is around. What amazing finds! How fortunate you are to be able to meet up with Kris! Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Gorgeous seam agates and what a view! Love how the dark lines in them almost look like little flames reaching into the lighter areas of the agates. Thanks Jared!✌😎
Your multi banded agates are nicer then the ones I found, I only found a couple with solid bands. Yes I am going back in the spring, I want to drop down over the hill.
We went out to that area last weekend and it did not disappoint. The great thing about this area is that you can find an abundance of diverse material. People say that there's nothing up there, but if you make your own path, you would be surprised at what you find!
Thanks for the post sir, much appreciated~ Looked like a nice day to be out but starting to get cold eh? IMO That is really beautiful patterned seam agate and is definitely a nice addition to the collection! Thanks again for sharing the goods my friend and hope you have a nice weekend ahead~ (i'm off to dig thundereggs)
The pleasure is all mine when it comes to sharing our adventures. Yeah its starting to get chilly at night, I feel like our overnight adventures are quickly coming to a close. Good luck with the dig!
That seam agate looks awesome!!! We are in central NY and we have ancient igneous and metamorphic rocks from the Canadian shield littered on Devonian and Silurian shallow marine sediments. Closest thing to agate is calcite and travertine seams if you know where to look. Awesome you guys got a good haul!
I find a ton of seam agate in the areas I go, love it. We have this stuff called Medfordite that has the green moss and cabs up really well. I'll try to get some to you sooner or later.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding Oh yeah sir, Oregon is cheating when it comes to hounding IMO. Make sure you have a po box for your channel and Ill send you some Oregon finds for New Years. Check out Josephenite, and oregon jade if you get a chance. Cheers broseph
That is beautiful stuff. Is that near Ellensburg? The blue is great. I would have certainly excavated that seam a bit, gotten under the weathered top to see how it looked safely down a few inches. The basalt looked quite eroded, so it should not be much of a challenge with your geopick. I ordered myself one after your other video, I guess I will be moving snow with it instead of stone.
We were near Ellensburg. I think in the spring I will be going back and doing just that. The geo-pick is an amazing tool to have, its often my go to these days.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding those nodules on redtop are way better than any of that seam agate . They have some great patterns and sometimes hallow full of crystals . You can fill up a five gallon bucket in about an hour if you find the layer and a good hole to get comfy in
@@magapickle01 You are incorrect and missing the point. One is not better than the other. It's a different material and I'm well aware of the Red Top and what can be found.

When my wife and I go out, she always finds better stuff than me.
Goodness Gracious
It will take a really nice polish.
Hey, where is this?
Hey Marci I hope all is well with you. This location is out by Red Top and near Liberty Washington.
