Kodachadri Trek is a one day trek where we need to cover 20kms, on the way we can take bath in the awesome hidlumane falls.
Trek fee is 400/-
Trek starts from kodachadri base camp which is 25 kms from kollur temple.
Jeeps are available from kollur, Nittur and Nagara to reach kodachadri peak, if you are not interested to trek.

Adi sankarar established 4 peetams in 4 directions with his 4 pradhana shishyas. But he himself established kanchi kamakoti peetam and remained its head. That's why it is called as moolamnaya sarvagna peetam. He became an immortal jyothi from the same place where his sannidhi is there in kamatchi Amman temple in kanchipuram. Mahaperiyava used to do sashtanga Namaskaram to adi sankarar in that sannidhi as it is their practice to do so to their guru. From this, it is even clear that adi sankarar lived,established the peetam in kanchipuram.

Thanks sir, will try to check these sources!! Problem is validation of source. Historians couldn’t validate the period of Adi Shankara, Different dates were proposed between 6th century BC to 8th century (8th is widely accepted) AD.
