We had a Nigerian brother sister as tenants for our home in Pune Maharashtra, who were studying Medicine. They hailed from Port Harcourt and their Dad was a doctor who owned a hospital in PH.
Not a bad looking city, from the little piece of it shown. Nicely laid out, and quite organized. I wonder what the safety issue is there. People safety and the likes. Many places in Nigeria are known for kidnappings and crimes of all kinds. Especially cities. All the same, your clip is quite wonderful. Great job, David.
Thank you for sharing this! My boyfriend is from Port Harcourt and I have not yet been there as he said it isn't safe. It is nice to be able to see it via your video (and you captured so much in a short video) thank you 😊
Thank you for your message, and for your answer, and so quickly..So everything has become very expensive now, such as gasoline.. Then I assume that daily food has also become very expensive. I really appreciate your message David, I would like to donate something, if that is easy, also because I find your videos impressive, kind regards, Renee
Thank you very kindly Renee You can click on the thanks button to donate. The thanks button is just after the share button on this video above the description box. Thanks
I always say it that Port Harcourt people are rude and daring. You need to explore the GRA, the area they have the stadium, Lekuma(my spelling might be wrong), etc. Trans-Amadi is overrated because it is busy but not very appealing. I stop going to Port Harcourt after been intimidated twice.
😂😂😂 you stop going because of intimidation? Am sure you have not had a stronger reason to visit again, you will still visit. But it's true some people are not just friendly at all
Please Bolt drivers are friendly in Port Harcourt. I prefer to use them and I enjoy their services. When I was Abuja, the Bolt drivers I met there were rude and It will unfair to conclude that Bolt drivers in Abuja are rude. You didn't show Micheal Gardens at Pleasure Park, Old GRA and new GRA. They are a lot of pleasant places your video didn't capture. THANKS ALL THE SAME.
You are right all bolt riders in port Harcourt can't be rude. However am just stating my experience. We have drone shot that capture those places and a road drive that also capture it. It's all on the channel. This is a series (Port Harcourt series) Thanks for watching
I know this video is already from longer time..but is is really good .. How is the real situation right now in Port harcourt and the others state's..I hear a lot of negative things, like the petrol..is this true ? Because i like to overcome to Nigeria ? I will pay for the information David , thank you
the situation in Port Harcourt is not different from what you see in this video. However, in terms of the economy, things are on the high side now not just here but all over Nigeria, due to an increase in the price of fuel, high dollar exchange rate, and shortages of food in Nigeria. Nonetheless, people are surviving and doing their best.
When you make a video about a city it should begin with the city center then go to particular points of attraction. But your video provides no specific information about city center, economic activities, tourism etc.
I probably prefer pleasure park in Port Harcourt to Millenium park in Abuja which might just make this the best park in a Nigerian city yet. Just thinking aloud
Millenium park is on lock and key by the way. The park is big as per size, however, pleasure park has more to offer. Cinema, restaurant, variety of activities etc
Nigerians and their love for population. Why is the population of the city so important. The aim of the video was to showcase what Port Harcourt looks like not whether it's Nigeria's biggest city or not. Who did size of city help. Let's even say we agree that the Metro area of Benin city is bigger than that of Port Harcourt which is false anyway, does that make it as developed economically or structurally. I think what counts the most for Port Harcourt in my opinion is that it is Nigeria's third most important city after Abuja and Lagos and is Nigeria's principal hub for oil and gas activities. It sits in the second richest state by revenue generation in Nigeria. It has Nigeria's third busiest airport for so many years up until before covid19 with a minimum of 1m passengers per annum (only Lagos and Abuja airports have more total passenger traffic although Kano has more international traffic perhaps thanks to Haj in addition to the highly commercial nature of Kano). Even if you chose to discount the flyovers which certainly helps reduce the traffic, the road network has improved greatly in recent years and Benin city is simply no match for it at all. As it stands, in Nigeria, outside of Abuja and Lagos, the closest Nigerian city to Port Harcourt in terms of relative importance will be Kano as it has a lot of economic activities and reasonably developed road network. Kaduna is also not bad (there's a lot of urban renewal going on there). Enugu is ok (the real estate will impress you) and Ibadan is nice in certain sections of the city. The likes of Uyo, Asaba, Owerri, Calabar are a different category as they are not in the same size category as Port Harcourt, Ibadan, kaduna and Kano. Benin city is big but development is not far reaching and many areas look run down kind of. I only like areas between Sapele road and airport road which is not up to a quarter of the urban area. My thoughts though
Port Harcourt never changed. No good development. I have been to the city several times right from childhood but I can't not see good change. Our leaders aren't good
@@DavidNkwa Okay. A place like Port Harcourt (oil city) needs something better. Flyovers are even common things in most cities in Nigeria today. Most of the flyovers are old, bro. They are not new.
@@DavidNkwa Okay. Flyovers have now become yard sticks to measure development. Governor Wike has not done much for the city. Rivers state is very rich yet lacked good development. Thank you, sir.

@@DavidNkwa but you have already concluded that bolt drivers in Port Harcourt are rude
bonjour meals porthcourt
Building more roads only adds to private vehicle use, more congestion, more pollution. Use trains
Hi David, please share your details.. I need to ask you something about port harcourt. I’ve never been there before and want to visit
I've never seen smog that bad in a city. I can only imagine how that is affecting Nigerians' health, especially infants and children.
Hey I'm from Jamaica can you reach out to me
where the hell is downtown?? seems like an under-developed city...

@@DavidNkwathanks for the video. But portharcourt is not as busy as lagos?
would you mind doing review of institution doing training for tower crane there port harcout
next time then. not in PH for now
Lovely pollution
Porthacourt is supposed to be more beautiful than this considering the amount of revenue it generates to federal government
It is supposed to be competing with Lagos

Kindly email nkwafilms@gmail.com. thank you
please don't generalise it abeg how can you give such a review due to ur experience port Harcourt bolt drivers re friendly
It's not fifth largest. Benin City is the fifth largest before port harcourt. Do your findings well.
Bases on Google, and Wiki as well.
Where is your data from
Benin City is the fourth largest city. It is larger than Port Harcourt which comes fifth. The author of this vlog is correct, sir.
There’s nothing in that Benin
