I Was 7 and a half when I begged my mother to allow me to travel to Croke Park to watch Wexford play Galway in the semi final and managed to get in to the sideline I was directly behind the Galway goal watching Nickey Rackard bursting the net with his Rackard specials. Unforgettable legend.
I was in Wexford town in June with my parents and seen the lovely statue of Nicky Rickard ,my father told me he saw Nicky playing with Wexford In the 50s ,my dad said he was a fantastic hurler
