- Season 2 kicks off with Chef Mehboob entering the 3rd largest city in Pakistan, Faislabad. Formerly known as Lyallpur this city is an industrial center with major railway repair yards, engineering works, and mills that process sugar, flour and oil seed. The surrounding countryside, irrigated by the lower Chenab River, produces cotton, wheat, sugarcane, vegetables and fruits. Time to explore!
This program is really great, Pakistan ka culture, food culture aur life style enn sabko ye program ek positive side se dikhata hai.
Mostly yaha kyaa karte hai ke media aisa picture khada karti hai ki sirf terrorism, corruption yani Pakistan. But Pakistan ki ek positive side bhi hai jo aise program ke through muze dekhne mili.
Beautiful...... Beautiful....... Beautiful.....
Amazing video.... amazing food... love and respect from India...
hats off to wood workers thanks.
Pakistani Punjab's Layalpur + Faisalabad = Indian Punjab's Jalandhar + Hoshiarpur. There are so many similarities like land of Doaba region which is in between two rivers (Raavi - Chenab) & (Satluj - Beas), Soil, Weather, Punjabi Dialect, Food, Agriculture especially Wheat and last not the least Wood-work for which these places are famous worldwide.
Indeed. And if you want more similarities then check out these. The following pairs of cities are strikingly similar-
1. Delhi and Lahore( And yes, you may find Amritsar to be similar to Lahore in many ways, but Amritsar is smaller as a city)
2. Chandigarh and Islamabad
3. Mumbai and Karachi
+S Thakur Yes, I know about that bro....and there are so many other things which are similar in both the countries like:
1. The closeness of Rawalpindi-Islamabad is almost equivalent to Gurgaon-New Delhi.
2. Amritsar & Lahore were known as twin cities like Ferozepur with Kasur before 1947.
3. The Hilly areas of Eastern Punjab known as Himachal Pradesh are exactly similar to Potohar region of West Punjab where as Southern Punjab region is known as Haryana in India & Saraikistan over there.
4. Muree & Shimla are absolutely same with almost same names of Roads & Churches.
5. Old Delhi's Chandni Chowk is same to Androon Lahore's Anarkali where as names of few suburbs in both cities are same like Kashmiri Gate, Lahori Gate, Delhi Gate, Shalimar, Defence, Krishna Nagar, Sant Nagar, Mall Road, Model Town, Ring Road, Ganga Ram Hospital, etc....
6. Haryanvi language is known as Rangri Zubaan In Pakistan where as descendents of Jats are known as Rao/Rajputs.. Where as In India, which we called Jhungi & Multani; they call it Saraiki language spoken over Multan, Dera Rahim Yar Khan, Jhung and similarly near Delhi places like Panipat & Rohtak due to immigration.
7. In Lahore - Shahi Qila, Badshahi Masjid, Dera Sahib Gurudwara, Anarkali, Jain Mandir are very close like in Old Delhi - Lal Qila, Jama Masjid, Sheesh Ganj Gurudwara, Chandni Chowk, Jain Mandir.
and so on......
bro most people of lyalpur are actually from doaba region of east punjab some come before partition most after partition.
I really miss Chef Saadat! Especially his "Oooo hoo" everytime he tasted food.
This host is MUCH better! loved the authentic recipes of the cities, instead of "own twist" on them. keep up the great work! All the best from Canada.

The worst episode for the show. In episode one you showed good amount of famous restaurants and in this episode showed nothing great in the city. I am very disappointed.
