Old Motorcycles are the best. I got my first motorcycle in 1965. I was 16 at the time and these were the bikes that ruled the road. Those were the motorcycle that could do it all from touring to racing to off roading. No specialty motorcycles, designed for one purpose. They could just be anything you wanted..Love all your videos..
Hi Martin, thank you very much for your kind note. I really appreciate it. Yes, we have so much fun with these old bikes. They have so much character and are just a joy. Best wishes, Mike
I have truly enjoyed this excellent series. Your videos are refreshing; they promote the riding community as rational, committed, and responsible adults. What is more, the programs have helped me through a difficult personal time, having to come to terms with my wife’s going into long-term care. I hope to see a second cul-de-sac series. From the too-cold-to-ride Saskatchewan plains, a heart-felt thank you.
Hi Guy. Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate you taking the time to send a note. I'm very sorry to hear about your wife and I hope that everything works out okay. You saved the best till last, I have to say this trip down memory lane has been a happy boost to me seeing all your chums and all the the classic well loved bikes good job old chap excellent series much enjoyed. watching.
What a gorgeous bike! It sounds exactly right, the proper mechanical noises of a pre-unit. I had a 64 TR6R, I really miss it. The "cul de sac" has been a really pleasureable visit to history. This has to be one of the cleanest restorations. Thanks!
Back in the eighties I had a Triumph 6T (pre-unit) that had a nine stud top end and was all sorts and years of bits combined, with a twin downtube frame from about 1961. I purchased a tank for it from an ad in a magazine which had so much paint on it that I stripped it in order to paint it, I found a line of little dents in it which must have been a testament to some kind of gang warfare - I laid a length of 5/8 by 3/8 chain on the line of dents and it fitted perfectly........
A fitting end to a heart warming series. As wonderful as the motorcycles are, it's their owners that made it extra special for me. Loved the Tiger Mike. Such a gorgeous colour.
Thank you very much Aidan. Yes, I agree. I have thoroughly enjoyed the visits and then editing the movies afterwards. It has been so much fun. Best wishes, Mike

Sunday night.... The Mighty Garage, Michael Waller & Allan Millyard, it don't get any better. Fantastic bike. As soon as it came into the "cul-de-sac" you knew it was a Triumph. Great stuff.
Ha ha, I feel the same way. I love watching Michael and Allen's videos. Michael is a very talented guy and can you believe Mr. Millyard's Viper-engined bike!! It's just astonishing how he approaches massive challenges with such apparent ease. Best wishes, Mike
That certainly is a lovely bike. I always liked the pre unit look of the engines. Sad the season came to an end. It's almost the same feeling you get when your on the ride of a lifetime, and you just never want it to end.
Thank you John. Much appreciated. Hopefully you will enjoy the next little mini series. The first episode should publish this coming Sunday. And the first bike is pretty special! Best wishes, Mike
Mike, when I read the title of this week's video, my first thought was that this was the last cul-de-sac offering forever. Thankfully, my fears were quickly dissipated when you advised that this was the last of the year - phew! I've loved this series, and look forward to the resumption in 2021. And then you turned up on your immaculate T110 - what a gorgeous little bike, and so well restored and presented. Well done.
Thank you Peter! This last episode got me motivated to get the triumph running again. I'm ashamed to say that it hasn't run for quite some time and it was such a thrill when it started up again. Now I have to get out and ride it a little bit before the weather deteriorates! Best wishes, Mike
The reason those old bikes sound so good is that they have hemispherical combustion chambers. The modern equivalent to this bike is probably the Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor.
My favourite Triumph. Partly because they are very pretty but mostly because of a collegue at my first job who's tales of his 1959 T110 got me into motorcycles in the first place. I remember the specs, one day I hope to own one.
This series would have been great any year but it was even more special to watch in 2020, thanks Mike and that T110 is a beaut! To repeat what others have said it is a credit to you 🇬🇧🏍
Ok Mike, first the pixelated shirt and now the surprise guest, you've gone Hollywood on us. Whoever is behind all this is a real entertainer. I love it. Home visits!! Genius. Looking forward to it. Congrats on the bike and the awards and thanks for making our Sundays a bit more special. Stay safe.
Hi Mike, excellent work on your videos! Thanks for sharing all the beautiful bikes. Thanks to the Cul-de-Sac series, I will pursue owning a british bike again on a near future and after the pandemic!
Hi Pablo. Many thanks for your great comments. It's been a pleasure seeing all the visitors and their bikes during this crazy summer. I'm glad that you have enjoyed the videos. Best wishes, Mike
Great to see your Tiger Mike. Reminds me of my first Brit bike a 1960 3TA with the nacelle for the speedo etc. A big thank you for all your videos cant wait to see what the spring brings on. Also good to see some blue sky at last. All the best Nick
Thanks a lot Nick. Really appreciate your comments as always. Hopefully there will be a few videos over the winter and then as soon as the nice weather returns we will have a few more visitors into the cul-de-sac again. Best wishes, Mike
I like the Triumph modern classic bikes, but yours is the real deal! It is a truly amazing build, and the color is fantastic. This is a great series, can’t wait until next year!
Hello Mike, Greetings from England, thank you once again for another superb Cul-de-Sac video. It's difficult to put into words just how much pleasure this mini series has given Jenny and me, in this most challenging of years. Sunday mornings won't be quite the same, but we look forward to normal service being resumed next year!. In the meantime, our thanks to you, for all the effort you have put into the making of these videos, and to all your friends, for showing us such superb motorcycles. Best wishes to all. Peter and Jenny Snow.
Hi Peter and Jenny, thank you so much for your lovely note. I really do appreciate it. I am hoping to continue the videos during the winter. It's just a cul-de-sac series that will end, but I'm hoping to switch to with a new little mini series called "home visits", during which I visit friends in their garages and sheds to hear a little bit about their bikes. It should hopefully be a lot of fun and I am editing the first video as we speak! Best wishes, Mike
Love the sound, and it's from my birth year, so must be good quality! Thanks for this series, really enjoyed watching and hearing about these bikes, it's like a virtual bike meet with the opportunity to ride along as well.
Hi Mike, I can't give you enough praise for your from the 'Cul-De-Sac' series! Great production, great bikes with you & that '56 T110 finishing season 1 in red carpet style! 👌🇬🇧
This is a series I'll remember. The stories behind each one were great. The last episode was being no exception. Way 'better than owt on the telly!'! 👍 (as we say in Yorkshire)
Hehe, yes unfortunately that is how I have been feeling, but it's time to try and ride it a little bit more. You may remember George who came to the cul-de-sac with his special commando? He has ridden his bike for 25,000 miles and it still looks perfect! So he has given me something to aspire to. Best wishes, Mike
Mike! this was an awesome series! Spoken from a Harley guy in Penna., its great to see all the old English and German motorcycles out of the Oregon area. You've all done a fantastic job keeping them running... Life is a Journey, so enjoy the ride!
This was fantastic Mike. What a treat to have you interviewed. It must be a great place to live and have some many people interested in those bikes so close by. Fall has definitely arrived - been snowing here in MN for almost 2 weeks now...boooooo
Thank you very much for your great comment. Yes, it has been a wonderful experience. Hoping to switch gears to some thing inside over the winter and I'm sure that most guys over in the Midwest will be doing the same and then emerging from their garages in the spring with some very interesting projects 😉 cheers, Mike
Thanks Mike, A brilliant series which really helped get us all through at least some of this pandemic. Love that Tiger and by the sounds of it she has a real Tiger in the Tank. Stay well and look forward to seeing some of your future productions. Just wish we had a vibrant vintage bike club like yours here where I live in Oz.
Thank you Brett. Really appreciate your great comments. I'm glad to that you enjoyed the series. Yes, it's amazing how vibrant the Portland Oregon area is for vintage motorcycles. It's been such a pleasure over the summer seeing all these brilliant bikes and their owners. I'm hoping to ride the Tiger a lot more and will hopefully take the GoPro! Best wishes, Mike
What a wonderfull video. Thank you so much. I think my dad's T110 would've had the larger tank, being an export model to the colony's (AUS/NZ), but I'll check my old black & whites to see....Cheers Nik 👍

Ha ha, me too, Dan! I've seen so many great bikes during these past few months. I think I'm going to need a bigger garage 😉 best wishes, Mike
Oh man. What a sweetheart of a bike. What a great idea doing this culdesac format. Brilliant!
wonderfull
Thank you Neil!
I enjoyed the cul de sac series very much! Brilliant idea for these times! I also have a T110, 55 vintage that I am in the process of restoring.
Thank you Dave. I really like the 1955 models with the "pie crust" front hub and the little pilot light. Good luck with your project.
The series has been a wonderful relief from everything to watch as well. Thanks Mike.
It's been my pleasure Brendan. Glad you enjoyed the videos and thanks as always for your great comments. Best wishes, Mike
Just brilliant! Thanks for putting this 64 year old beauty together and sharing it with us.
Hey, now! Mike isn't that old!
Thank you very much Don. It was my pleasure.
Enjoyed the whole series Mike thank you, helped me to keep my sanity during this forgetful year.
Thank you and Nigel. It's been my pleasure. I'm glad the videos helped in some small way. Best wishes, Mike
My favourite Triumph. Partly because they are very pretty but mostly because of a collegue at my first job who's tales of his 1959 T110 got me into motorcycles in the first place. I remember the specs, one day I hope to own one.
Many thanks! It's still my pride and joy. I love this bike. I'm hoping to ride it more next year when the weather improves. Best wishes, Mike
This series would have been great any year but it was even more special to watch in 2020, thanks Mike and that T110 is a beaut! To repeat what others have said it is a credit to you 🇬🇧🏍
Thank you very much Stewy. I have got to ride the T110 more often now and take the GoPro. Cheers, Mike
She's a beaut Mike , I had no idea you'd brought it back from the dead like that. I'd sell my granny for that bike!
Hehe, thank you Bob. It's my pride and joy alright. Best wishes, Mike
Stay safe.
Hehe, glad you liked that Paulie! It was a little bit of fun to end the 2020 cul-de-sac series on. Thanks a lot for your note and best wishes, Mike
That bike really does sound brilliant! Sounds hard and British.
I had one of those once. It was a Matchbox with a sidecar. Seriously, it is part of the reason I watched this. Very informative!
Thanks a lot! Haha, I know just which Matchbox model you are talking about 😉 Best wishes, Mike
Now that's a beauty ! Nicer than my '73 TX650 but hey, who's counting.
Best wishes, Mike
thanks Mike, your videos help bring a bit more joy into life, seeing what others into old motorcycles are upto on the other side of the world.
Many thanks RR! I'm glad you enjoy the videos. It's very good of you to comment. Best wishes, Mike
I like the Triumph modern classic bikes, but yours is the real deal! It is a truly amazing build, and the color is fantastic. This is a great series, can’t wait until next year!
Thanks very much James. I'm also hoping to do something a little different over the winter, so I hope you'll enjoy it. Best wishes, Mike
Hello Mike,
Greetings from England, thank you once again for another superb Cul-de-Sac video.
Hehe, thanks a lot. Best wishes, Mike
Hi Mike, I can't give you enough praise for your from the 'Cul-De-Sac' series! Great production, great bikes with you & that '56 T110 finishing season 1 in red carpet style! 👌🇬🇧
Wow, thanks George! That is very kind of you. It's amazing what you can do with an iPhone! 😃 Cheers, Mike
This is a series I'll remember. The stories behind each one were great. The last episode was being no exception. Way 'better than owt on the telly!'! 👍 (as we say in Yorkshire)
hehe! Thank you Mr.A! I'm glad that you have enjoyed the little mini series. It's been a ton of fun. Best wishes, Mike
Loved the series, a fantastic collection of bikes and back-stories 👍 Best wishes from (old) Hampshire, UK
Another guy watching from (the original) Hampshire, UK.
Many thanks Dennis!
Wish my 1956 T100 looked that good! Thanks for the reference to Ace Classics, I'd not heard of them but will certainly start using them.
If I had such a beautiful bike I couldn't maybe ride it at all! Would be afraid to scratch it... Anyhow, it is a jewel!
What a great sounding machine !!!
Wow, and the story was just as lovely as the bike !
Thank you very much! Really appreciate it. Best wishes, Mike
At last!
Mike! this was an awesome series! Spoken from a Harley guy in Penna., its great to see all the old English and German motorcycles out of the Oregon area. You've all done a fantastic job keeping them running... Life is a Journey, so enjoy the ride!
Thank you very much for your great comments. Really appreciate it. Best wishes, Mike
This has been a great series Mike. Many thanks to you and all the riders who have shared their bikes and stories.
Many thanks! Glad you enjoyed the little mini-series. It's been terrific fun over the summer. Best wishes, Mike
Thanks Mike,
A brilliant series which really helped get us all through at least some of this pandemic.
Well done!
Thank you Rich!
Now that’s a real belter...absolutely beautiful bike! I have really enjoyed your Cul de Sac concept and admire and appreciate the work that goes into them. Congratulations and thank you.
Thanks a lot Dave. Hope to see you again soon. Best wishes, Mike
Your bike is beautiful, I was admiring and smiling through the whole video thank you.
Thank you Phil!! It's my pleasure. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Best wishes, Mike

Thank you David for your kind note. Yes, I have the first video ready to go on Sunday morning if all goes well. I hope that you will enjoy it. Best wishes, Mike
Great way to end the season. What a beautiful motorcycle. I liked seeing the pictures of how it looked when you bought it. It was nice to see you talking about one of your own. I wish I lived on your cul-de-sac...I'd be knocking on your door every other day saying, "Hey Mike, sorry to bug ya but can I check out your bikes again?"
Luckily you can just fire up TH-cam and look at them anytime you want.
Hee hee, thanks for swinging by the cul-de-sac virtually, Dave. I really appreciate it. Best wishes, Mike
What a great way to close out the series. I have so enjoyed watching. Being in it was an honor and the highlight of my summer. Maybe you'll come over to my side of town with your crew.
Hi Doug, oh, I would love to! It was my pleasure having you come over on your incredible bike. I still think about your visit. It was fantastic. Best wishes, Mike
You've got a great voice, it's one of the most distinctive on TH-cam. See you in 2021 and stay safe
Many thanks JD. That's very kind of you to say so. It's a bit of a hodgepodge between Northern English, Scottish and American ☺️. I'm hoping to launch a new little mini-series this coming Sunday, so I hope that you will enjoy it as much as the cul-de-sac series. Best wishes, Mike
Thanks so much for your work for this season of beautiful bikes and nice people! Enjoyed every minute of it, so much positivity and devotion!

Yes, I would have a hard time letting this one go I must say! Glad that you have enjoyed the videos this summer. Hoping to switch gears to something inside over the winter and then hopefully will resume the cul-de-sac series in 2021. Best wishes, Mike
What a beauty! Hope you have a productive winter in the shop. Would love to see the progress on the Manx.
Thank you Mitch. Yes I must get back to the bike one of these days ☺️ Best wishes, Mike
Smashing Mike. Its been a great addition to your channel and your subs keep rising ✨. Thanks for the effort you put in and looking forward to what's coming. Take care 🙂
Hi Stephen. Thanks very much. Yes, the subscriptions have grown significantly since the launch of this little mini series. It's been tremendously successful. Some of the videos have received so many views. I have been astonished by the numbers. I have a new series starting on Sunday morning that I hope you will like during the winter months. Best wishes, Mike
Another nice guy and bike in your cul-de-sac, shame that's the last one for this season, what will we all do on Sunday mornings? Keep safe and get on with all your projects now, Lenny, from Leicestershire, UK.
Hehe, thanks Lenny. Will still be doing the videos every Sunday and have something nice lined up for the first "home-visit" this weekend! Cheers, Mike
Haha, great surprise intro and I loved the ending, that motorcycle is awesome and a credit to your skills and attention to detail. Take care y'all :)

Thank you Paulo! Best wishes, Mike
I just watched your later video of you changing out the carburetor on this beautiful machine. So I had to go back and see this one again. Thx for a great series.
Many thanks.. I’m hoping to share some good news soon about more visitors!

Hi Mike, niiiiiiice to see you on the other side of the camera 🎥, I have to say that the restoration of your bike absolutely beautiful, it’s a stunning looking motorcycle man, I love it, I’m well jell now lol 😝. Super sweet video Mike. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧
Thank you Mike!! Really appreciate it. Haha, thought you might like that one. It was a good motivation to get the bike running again and I'm so glad to hear it roar again. Now I will have to take it for a ride before the weather gets too cold and dame. Cheers, Mike

Hola Rafael. Me alegra que hayas disfrutado de los videos. Sí, tengo entendido que la policía Argentina usó muchos Triunfos ¡e incluso las motocicletas Vincent! Mis mejores deseos, Mike
What a gorgeous bike and brilliant job in restoring. And what a brilliant exhaust note. Sounds beautiful!
Many thanks!!
Wow what a beautiful Triumph Mike you have done a very nice and original restoration. It sure brings back memories for me from the 50’s/60’s just the formula Triumph sound. Thank you for sharing you Sunday morning videos it’s been very enjoyable seeing all your friends and there vintage bikes. Please take care and look after yourselves. Look forward to you next series of videos.
Many thanks RL as always for your great comments. I'm glad that you have enjoyed the videos. I'm hoping to keep the videos going over the winter, but they'll be just a little different but hopefully interesting. Best wishes, Mike
Hi Mike. Best wishes from Bristol, England. You have a great bike collection and your T110 is stunning. Thank you for your cul-de-sac sessions. I will miss them over the winter. Oregon and the area where you live looks stunning and is now on my list of places to visit. I would love to come on a run with you. The riding looks great. Stay safe.
Thank you Andrew. Oregon really is a great state. It has a relatively small population and it's a pretty big state, so there are lots of great open riding roads.... and NO speed cameras!! Thanks for your note about the series. I'm glad you have enjoyed it. I'm going to release another series starting on Sunday that I hope youll enjoy. Best wishes, Mike
Best wishes and a big Thank you for All the fantastic Videos from the Cool de Sac! Helps to survive the cold days ahead of us in the Northern hemisphere.
All the best from Hamburg,
Michael
Thank you Michael! Hope all is well. Take care and best wishes, Mike
