  • At the end of the cul-de-sac! A 1956 Triumph T110
I hope that you have enjoyed this little mini-series!
This is the last visit of this season to the cul-de-sac for 2020 but we will resume again in the new year.
I'm very grateful to all my friends who visited during the summer. It has been such a wonderful relief from everything that is going on in the world at the moment.
Over the winter, we are hoping to visit with friends in their garages to chat about their bikes and projects. And we hope to resume our visits again in the springtime.
Many thanks as always to @Swooshdave for the terrific drone shots and great thumbnails for many of my videos! Dave's channel: / @swooshdave

Old Motorcycles are the best. I got my first motorcycle in 1965. I was 16 at the time and these were the bikes that ruled the road. Those were the motorcycle that could do it all from touring to racing to off roading. No specialty motorcycles, designed for one purpose. They could just be anything you wanted..Love all your videos..

Back in the eighties I had a Triumph 6T (pre-unit) that had a nine stud top end and was all sorts and years of bits combined, with a twin downtube frame from about 1961. I purchased a tank for it from an ad in a magazine which had so much paint on it that I stripped it in order to paint it, I found a line of little dents in it which must have been a testament to some kind of gang warfare - I laid a length of 5/8 by 3/8 chain on the line of dents and it fitted perfectly........

Thanks very much for a fantastic series Mike; that's a cracking job you've done on the T110 - a real credit to you.
I'm really pleased you gave the late, great Percy Tait, (ex Triumph works test rider and racer) a mention too.
Safe riding to all....and roll on next spring !

The reason those old bikes sound so good is that they have hemispherical combustion chambers. The modern equivalent to this bike is probably the Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor.

What is more, the programs have helped me through a difficult personal time, having to come to terms with my wife’s going into long-term care. I hope to see a second cul-de-sac series.
