I think it has something to do with contrast level. A contrast can be from patterns who are more or less different in depth or color or from cool/warm. So if you can wear a medium/high contrast level, it might be more flattering to wear a contrasted metal.

You’re right about the silver. And yellow is a tough color to pull off if you’re cool toned. I’m a dark winter, and my analyst told me personally to steer clear of even the “winter yellows” haha

@@bethanyann1060 And I was here thinking that yellow was one of my best colours 😅

@@_ananyadixit_ Luckily yellow is my least favorite color. But hey, I was way off on my undertone before being analyzed as a dark winter by two different analysts lol. I was convinced I was warm. It’s hard to be objective when analyzing yourself.

I disagree about the gray too. Middle value gray on middle value skin is not flattering but all other shades of gray will suit you well. Gray is a basic color for all Summers so find your shades and wear it with confidence 😁 The same with silver. Very light and shiny silver is for Winters. Summers must be careful with sheen so texture of textile is important too when you choose clothes.

There seem to be a lot of contradictions in what this analyst said. The jewellery colour was notably off, but also, cool or true summers can typically wear greys very well. So it's interesting she said to avoid those cool grey shades, but that you're a summer. I suspect that this analyst wasn't working off an established system, but might have been making things up a bit.

For people who are confused-if this is an Asian system, it’s different than Western. Just looking at the gold fabric, I think it brightens you and evens out the dark spots. So maybe you can wear both, but gold has that warming glow effect. Since silver is technically gray, and you didn’t look good in the super muted (grayish) fabrics, it makes sense that silver (being gray) isn’t the best. Also that gold she used isn’t a super orangey-gold. It seems pretty neutral to me.

@@fbmbassist yes this was a Korean system of colour analysis. I see what you mean by the gold, but honestly now it’s a case of me just preferring silver 😅 but I definitely will wear gold if the outfit calls for it 😊

I do not understand why they say the opposite for the jewellery colour. I have been into colour analysis for years. None of the professionals I watch would agree with her. I considered trying these professionals, but this has turned me off them. Another professional from there said the same thing to her client.

@@markjordan433 Yes I fully agree with you. I thought that was definitely odd but I have just decided to disregard that part and stick to silver jewellery which is my preferred metal colour anyways haha
