I have this kit and it's been on my mind to start it. The gimmicks as people call them arr actually an educational part of the kit. It really shows how complex engines are. As an engineer, I truly appreciate the details. Pocher 1/8 kit have a lot of movable parts and are a pain to work with but overall satisfying. Keep up the good work.
That is truly amazing. I am glad that you are doing it. That's the type of thing I like to watch but I wouldn't enjoy doing. Yes, close up footage is very good!
Absolutely the close footage helps, you really see the steps needed to complete the task. In a detail you just don't see in the longer shots. Please do keep putting them in.
It's amazing all the detail. You basically build the engine!! Which I appreciate but I have to ask does it make sense to do so? Nobody every sees it. I get the as a builder you have satisfaction knowing its in there. But unless the engine was displayed to show the internals somehow Im not sure I would have the energy for it lol. Very well done!
This is my first exposure to MFH kit, and I'm impressed with what it offer, but the price is also a shocker. I love building all this small detail parts, and finally see it together is so satifying. can't wait to see the next part of this build, Thanks Paul!
Looks great. I'd have maybe sprayed the gasket PE with some Mr. Surfacer black or Tamiya rubber black so you have the black rubber gasket seam running between the parts, but honestly you may still not even see them. Looks absolutely beautiful. great work.
This kit is crazy, I didn’t know this brand 10 days before … Tempting :) Is Tamiya do other kit like the SUper Seven BDR, maybe more accessible for the casual scale modeler ?
I'm starting mine now. How did you get the oil pan to fit together. The 2 side peices don't jive with the bottom piece at all. The bottom edges of the side pieces aren't flat. If I set the side pieces on the pins of the bottom piece, there are big gaps between the 2 side pieces

@@InternationalScaleModeller can I check what drill bit size you use for all the small nuts and bolts ?
Various sizes the instructions call out for
@@InternationalScaleModeller I’m building the 1/9 blue star.. no where in the instructions say of any size🤦🏻♂️
WoW ! Thanks for sharing, I did two (there are on my Chanel) this summer … not a pièce of cake for me … I will follow your building you are a master !
Keep the close up shots, they are very informative.

As I said in the patron chat it needs some brute force and bending lol :)
