And the best sounding and looking RC plane I've ever seen. It passes for a full size aircraft. Plane is gorgeous, and that engine goes like a bat outta hell, well done!

Searching "GEE BEE R3 RACER??WOW!!! " will get you a pretty comprehensive idea behind this fantasy design. Not a Wedell Williams but an Italian design inspired by the original Gee Bee. At 1:36, that looks like a spin turned into a Lumshevak, polish for headache. It is a planned maneuver and was recovered gracefully. No way this guy was ever out of control.
Holy Shit. This aircraft has made me get a little bit of a semi on. One of, if not the sexiest RC planes on the planet with one of the horniest sounding RC motors on earth, the Moki 400. If God flys RC he would have a Gee Bee R3 with a Moki 400 in it. He wouldn't be on 2.4gig though, he is too old school for that.
Most call this "The Gee Bee Fantasy Racer" - because it really never flew like this full scale - the R3 open cockpit was the last attempt and by that time the Glanvilles had run out of money and too many planes had crashed. I have an electric version of this - that's heading for the bench next !

@Graiskye me either. No loss of control there. Maybe someone did not understand the controlled spin and thought it was a 'near crash'.
