If it's additive, then my point still stands. But if it's multiplicative, then nearly ALL of the DPS could benefit GREATLY from our peacock boy and some of them could be put into the WINNERS category.
It's not because of the damage of the fua but its existence, aventurine gets more blind bet stacks for each fua before his action starts to a total of 3 stacks.@@nightmareid

I also thought that not the case but I done my research and a bit disappointed his shield doesn't work similar to Fu Xuan matrix. I'm surprised many CCs missed this little drawback but can't blamed them bcs they don't play gepard. Anyway, I'm still pulling aventurine for my topaz team lol

I'm not sure if he can get 7stacks or not in one cycle especially in non fua team but some showcases with Bronya shown he didn't get it, but even if he able to trigger his follow up passive right before the skill shield disappear, that dps only left with one small stacked shield bcs shield stacking don't reset that skill shield timer. Imo, better use other sustainer with Bronya, they don't synergy well except in SU. Also characters that have action forward kit might have this problem too.
@@vaughncortez2265it’s not a shield replenish, just an added smaller shield so he still loses something. Blade’s best pairing is with Bronya, so people who own both don’t really need to worry about this but if a person doesn’t have another support to use it can be annoying.
Something to note, characters like Seele and Sushang will often take multiple actions back to back which causes them to blow through their shields quicker than the rest of the team. It’s not as much a detriment for Aventurine as it is for Gepard, but generally it should be more effective to just use Fu Xuan or other sustains that are based on the sustainer’s actions
About the neutral you forget Aventurine's ult makes a target take additional crit damage which can be beneficial for a dps like dhil and his 50% team wide effect res mechanic automatically triggers broken keel's passive which gives another crit damage bonus that is like a 12+ crit dmg boost from aventurine
Gonna note 1 exception for your Blade argument: if you have Jing Liu than Aventurine for shield, Blade, Aventurine, and one other character (probably harmony or emergency healer) than Blade can work in an aventurine team as Jing Liu will also be draining Blade's HP and everyone else's each turn (since Aventurine has a crit damage buff you may not necessarily need harmony but harmony over healer will probably beef up damage a bit depending on the Harmony unit). However that obviously only works if you have Jing Liu or another unit releases down the line that decreases HP of all allies (hell them with Jing Liu, Aventurine would all benefit the team as HP would drain on Blade for 3 out of the 4 characters' turns...if they had a follow up as well they'd help with Aventurine too) though you'd definitely want the shield to be strong enough to last until Aventurine can restack it with follow ups/his skill...said team would also be SP positive as Blade and Jing Liu don't need to use SP that often and Aventurine also doesn't really need to use it if he can use his follow up often so how much SP is used may depend on who's the last of the 4 characters and whether or not they'll need to use skills a lot or not...and if they're a healer (in case you don't want to risk dying if the shields wind up being wiped out before they can be restacked) you're also not likely to use their skills much either (granted 2 sustains means that Blade and Jing Liu have to be built really well to deal enough damage to guarantee all rewards in MoC/PF/any other future content added of that level of difficulty or higher).
I just wanted to point out that Blade's AOE Talent was not talked about at all, when Blade Sustains DMG OR consumes his HP, he gains a stack to charge that stacks up 5 times. When he reaches 5 stacks, he immediately launches a follow-up attack on all enemies dealing Wind Damage. I have tested this in game to see if Aventurine stacks with Blade and it does work. I just wanted to point that out as it is mostly a core mechanic of his gameplay. (This information was taken directly from the game)
There's a tester named Veltlion who said that Aventurine's decent in break teams as long as Harmony Trailblazer is with him (because of his ult and frequent FUA). Not as good as Gallagher but still better than the other sustains (in break).
Not me originally planning to have Aven and Blade on same team bc my silly butt forgot constant shield = less hp taken for Blade’s abilities lmfao I’m so used to having Clara and healer combo that I legit forgot about that mechanic/interaction so thank you for this 😂 I may still try it in overworld for funsies since I’m trying to build him a bit hybrid rather than full tank but good reminder for other content
The problem with Aventurine & Clara is aggro value. If the boss is single target clara will most likely lose a lot of dps from not getting hit. As well Clara ultimate needs a battery (tingyun) and if your not e1+ with clara keeping consistent uptime on ult is pretty hard. Huo huo & lynx would still be better sustainers for clara in the long run since buff clara mechanics indirectly such ultimate cost
You miss an important character... March 7 with her shield on Clara they will hit almost every time Clara so you will do 2 aditional attacks (March and Clara) so Aventurine would get more points, its a pretty strong team not gona lie
@@Doksia4738 Only issue being you give up a second Harmony buffer and Aventurine caps out the amount of points allies get at 3 until his own turn refreshes it, so you can't just get like 7 points between his turns. If Dps March was viable then maybe that team with Ruan Mei as solo Harmony would be solid, but dps March is ROUGH to play around with her split scaling.
@@Doksia4738 I have a try, if you break enemies too fast you lose so much damage and I think Ruan Mei kinda makes that particular issue worse. Once Robin comes out I could see it being really solid as the consistent follow ups would do a lot with her.
No because you either want aventurine to be attacked more often to get stacks and use his fua or you’re gonna need to use his skill more often. Xueyi is gonna break the enemies and they won’t be able to attack and it could ruin your shield cycles
Welt and Aven is a weird one although I'm planning to make it work. It all comes down to skill management since Aven's shields have the same duration as Gepard, you just have to count the turns or only refresh through skill if you need to. Also, Welt Effect Hit Rate sustain build is irrelevant in my opinion, as someone who is trying to build the strongest F2P Welt just go for Crit Build with Energy/Attack Rope, Crit Welt hits hard and he does what you want him to.
Depending on the type of enemy you're dealing with, it's possible to only refresh the shield with his Follow-up only. All shield so far (correct me if I'm wrong) have a 3 turn duration , Aventurine's no different.
@@TheOneGPJ mc's shield is 2 turns while march's shield is 4 turns from trace or eidolon (correct me if I'm wrong). Segregation shield lasts for 2 turns, while Amber lasts indefinitely. Actually, probably only Gepard's and Aventurine's shields last for 3 turns. Forgot how many turns is Luocha's
Depends, I use sustain Welt on an Acheron team but I also have his e2 + 4* SW LC so i can avoid EHR body completely while only using ERR rope to get almost 50% ult charge per skill use, eventually I want e6 Welt since that extra hit + e2 makes him Ult loop so fast enemies have a hard time keeping up lol
I agree with most of this. Jingliu might be a loser with Aventurine because of the HP drain, though. I feel like abundance sustain makes more sense with her or Fu Xuan if going with a preservation unit.
Dan Heng IL should be in the winner column because Aventurine is the most skill point efficient sustain since Luocha but prevents unlucky one shot KOs entirely

What I do want to add on to Welt is that he makes enemies slower and Imaginary Break is one of the Break Effects that delay the enemy action the most (on top of his Ult able to imprison/delay). Which is not the best for Aventurine since you actually want enemies to take their turns so he can get his stacks up and trigger more of his FuA faster, hence keeping his shield up.

I would like to summon for Aventurine since I have no sustain outside of fire MC and Gallagher but I will probably stop playing HSR until Sam. The game is too good to be a gacha in my eyes so I ended up playing like 7-8 hours for the last 2 weeks and got burned out , last year I got to TB 52 from april 26 to may 30th~ AND QUIT UNTIL NOW...which SUCKS from a Gacha viewpoint but oh well. (I'll probably do dailies and farm the relic event)
Sparkle/bronya and ruan mei are slight winners, there are some cases (jingyuan jingliu) that you want to advacnce aventurine for a kill because LL is behind or jingliu is in downtime Ruan mei buffinf relevant damage of aventurine is of note too

I'd argue most of the crit dps will be somewhat of a winner (except blade) due to the fact that aventurine has a more crit dmg taken debuff on his ult.
Issue is that his ult debuff is single target and is a debuff tied to his ult, which means it has lackluster uptime in aoe and againsts bosses with multiple health bars, since in the latter case each new health bar clears all debuffs. Aventurine has the option to be pure SP positive though unlike FX and HH though he loses to Gallagher in terms of raw SP generation.
Upvote and subscribe, but just a small thing: the background music makes this video harder to watch because I can't have it on in the background while exploring in either game if I want to hear the region's music. Idk if others have this issue though.
They very much were, and he kind of is? Every new character so far has become the new meta. It’s the hsr style, every new character powercreeps. In terms of pres units, aventurine does manage to surpass fuxuan since he prevents damage entirely, increases crit rate, increases cdmg taken by enemies, which counts as a debuff which many characters benefit from, boosts effect res which is extremely useful with how much cc each new boss has been getting. The fact that his shield comes from his skill and is a team wide shield makes him insane. Gepard is a character that needs to be using his skill close to every turn to ensure his ult is ready for when it’s needed. March can only shield one character at a time. Fu xuan cannot deal with aoe well. Aventurine is effectively covering fu xuan’s shortcomings and coming up with buffs on top of that.
I remember content creator talking shiit to huohuo bcs luocha was in there 😂 *they just like she is good but you dont need her* now look she is in the top since her debut but i think the most have character is ruan since break meta will join in the game soon along with mc
Self increase Crit rate, boost effect res on everything (tbh not 100% effect res = still 50% effect res) while Fu prevents CC entirely one time per skill use with team wide Crit rate buff. Every new character "seems" like it's powercreep until several patches down the line where the "OP" ones now getting slotted into their respective archetype and Aventurine is no different. He just looks like his kit is tuned up to 11 because we've never seen a sustain like him before. Give him time to settle and he'll be level with the rest of the 5 star sustainers WHICH IS STILL PRETTY BUSTED IMO
really any crit dps this is a winner. assuming you dont need Fu Xuen to hit 100% crit or you are using her on another team..... or you just dont have her kek. also QQ has a follow up attack in her kit, its frequency is low but it exists.
do you know how good gallagher is for break teams? You seem to be praising him a lot so i'm wondering if i should build him for a break team eventually
Gallagher's main role other than healing the team is supporting break by using his Besotted debuff from his ultimate. Basically, it's a 15% Break DMG increase (which can adds up really great if your breaker's at max level), coupled with the fact that he can deal pretty respectful break damage because of his healing tied to how much break you built on him.

Gallagher at E0 IMO is closely like bailu, you can make it work without his eidolons but he will feel unfair unless you really know what you're doing. You want your Gallagher at E2 for comfort level and then start thinking to invest in him. Bottom line, his niche in break teams doesn't necessarily mean that the 5 star tanks and healers will be worse than him in that specific break team. It's still worth it in the long run to have a flexible sustainer that you can put in any team, especially Aventurine and his clearly synergistic capabilities with the cowboy man 🤠
In addition to his break buffs, with eidolons Gallagher innately has 78% effect res with E1 + traces, which is better than Luocha's 70% cc res, meaning he doesn't need to build much eff res to be immune to debuffs. He is the only sustain who can generate up to 4 sp per 150av (1st cycle) due to his ultimate self advance and Multiplication LC, beating Aventurine and Luocha. Because his healing does not scale from his HP or Atk, him using Multiplication does not penalize his healing due to its low base stats. His toughness damage is also the best out of all the sustains which is improved further at E6. Definitely worth building if you're going for a break team.
I think to say all harmony characters don’t benefit from aventurine is abit dumb like characters like ruin mei and asta both can add to aventurine small dps which is really nice especially with what most likely will be a double dps meta
Not really, there aren’t enough debuffs for Ratio and sparkle only buffs one of the carries. My recommendation would be having Dr Ratio + Aventurine + Pela (resolution shines lightcone) + flex and then a Jing Yuan + Sparkle team on the other side
I hate this weird thing where everyone in this fanbase reffers to Tanks as Sustainers. They dont sustain. They Tank. They draw aggro and shield allies. Thats literally the role of a tank. I dont understand where the Term disapeared and became lumped in with healers and buffers.
Sustain means to support or to keep something going and having shields to keep your team from dying is 100% a form of sustaining your team’s health bar.
very accurate !! from the very begining it was obvious that follow up users will benefits the most from him and the oposite - plus acheron ofc she and ratio depends fully on debufs so another debufer is always welcome to their team. i tried aven/ratio in the story and it was GOLDEN i dont have topaz but definetly will try him out with every other follow up character to see how well and fun will be :D
The real loser here is Gepard, Aventurine powercreeps him so hard that is kinda difficult do justify him in a team, even with a ice weak foe and the freeze chance. I mean, Aventurine brings so much to the table in the endgame compared to him.

March 7th works well with him too if you built her like a DPS and you have her E4

My dream team is Kafka, Black Swan, Acheron, and Aventurine. All Signature light cones. Already have E0S1 Kafka and E1S1 Acheron...

Aventurine has the option to be pure SP positive though unlike FX and HH though he loses to Gallagher in terms of raw SP generation.

Can we please stop pretending that aventurine is the most meta unit in the game 😭 I swear people werent like this when Huohuo came out.
They very much were, and he kind of is? Every new character so far has become the new meta. It’s the hsr style, every new character powercreeps.
In terms of pres units, aventurine does manage to surpass fuxuan since he prevents damage entirely, increases crit rate, increases cdmg taken by enemies, which counts as a debuff which many characters benefit from, boosts effect res which is extremely useful with how much cc each new boss has been getting.
The fact that his shield comes from his skill and is a team wide shield makes him insane. Gepard is a character that needs to be using his skill close to every turn to ensure his ult is ready for when it’s needed. March can only shield one character at a time. Fu xuan cannot deal with aoe well. Aventurine is effectively covering fu xuan’s shortcomings and coming up with buffs on top of that.

Self increase Crit rate, boost effect res on everything (tbh not 100% effect res = still 50% effect res) while Fu prevents CC entirely one time per skill use with team wide Crit rate buff.
Every new character "seems" like it's powercreep until several patches down the line where the "OP" ones now getting slotted into their respective archetype and Aventurine is no different. He just looks like his kit is tuned up to 11 because we've never seen a sustain like him before. Give him time to settle and he'll be level with the rest of the 5 star sustainers WHICH IS STILL PRETTY BUSTED IMO

also QQ has a follow up attack in her kit, its frequency is low but it exists.
do you know how good gallagher is for break teams? You seem to be praising him a lot so i'm wondering if i should build him for a break team eventually
Gallagher's main role other than healing the team is supporting break by using his Besotted debuff from his ultimate. Basically, it's a 15% Break DMG increase (which can adds up really great if your breaker's at max level), coupled with the fact that he can deal pretty respectful break damage because of his healing tied to how much break you built on him.

Gallagher at E0 IMO is closely like bailu, you can make it work without his eidolons but he will feel unfair unless you really know what you're doing. You want your Gallagher at E2 for comfort level and then start thinking to invest in him.
Bottom line, his niche in break teams doesn't necessarily mean that the 5 star tanks and healers will be worse than him in that specific break team. It's still worth it in the long run to have a flexible sustainer that you can put in any team, especially Aventurine and his clearly synergistic capabilities with the cowboy man 🤠
In addition to his break buffs, with eidolons Gallagher innately has 78% effect res with E1 + traces, which is better than Luocha's 70% cc res, meaning he doesn't need to build much eff res to be immune to debuffs. He is the only sustain who can generate up to 4 sp per 150av (1st cycle) due to his ultimate self advance and Multiplication LC, beating Aventurine and Luocha. Because his healing does not scale from his HP or Atk, him using Multiplication does not penalize his healing due to its low base stats. His toughness damage is also the best out of all the sustains which is improved further at E6.
Definitely worth building if you're going for a break team.

I think to say all harmony characters don’t benefit from aventurine is abit dumb like characters like ruin mei and asta both can add to aventurine small dps which is really nice especially with what most likely will be a double dps meta

Not really, there aren’t enough debuffs for Ratio and sparkle only buffs one of the carries. My recommendation would be having Dr Ratio + Aventurine + Pela (resolution shines lightcone) + flex and then a Jing Yuan + Sparkle team on the other side

Depends on the build but generally they'll be in the losers tier for me. If you build them pure DPS then it's neutral imo

I hate this weird thing where everyone in this fanbase reffers to Tanks as Sustainers.
They dont sustain. They Tank. They draw aggro and shield allies. Thats literally the role of a tank. I dont understand where the Term disapeared and became lumped in with healers and buffers.
Sustain means to support or to keep something going and having shields to keep your team from dying is 100% a form of sustaining your team’s health bar.

very accurate !! from the very begining it was obvious that follow up users will benefits the most from him and the oposite - plus acheron ofc she and ratio depends fully on debufs so another debufer is always welcome to their team. i tried aven/ratio in the story and it was GOLDEN i dont have topaz but definetly will try him out with every other follow up character to see how well and fun will be :D
Aventurine sustains Arlan SO WELL on 1% HP which optimizes his damage, I'm so so glad I can finally continue to keep him as my main DPS!
The real loser here is Gepard, Aventurine powercreeps him so hard that is kinda difficult do justify him in a team, even with a ice weak foe and the freeze chance.
I mean, Aventurine brings so much to the table in the endgame compared to him.
