This might seem like a silly question, but at the end of the video you mention that counterpoint and harmony come together; does this mean harmony in a sense of 4-part-writing where the focus is on creating good sounding vertical harmony, or harmony in a more broad concept (as not thinking only in terms of pure intervals between cantus and voices anymore, but in chords)

Species counterpoint is just a stage, not the final goal, something that is too often forgotten!
