Well Hannah, I lived in Norway for many years, the rule for vehicles from November to May was to have studed tires. That delt with ice problem. For other means to go on long ski journeys was either to take ferries up the fiords, or take trains to higher elevations. skiing down the valleys/ridges, and back to a railhead/ or bus. I skied hundreds of miles. Including with Reindeer. Its not all big tires and grunt, then powder. Love you mint, snowboard the best........
I saw one of those Mercedes camper vans at an RV show here about four years ago, just before the lockdowns. They're not inexpensive but then they do make it easy to get around in a van. I hope you have a great time over there and please come back, we love your videos ;-)
Hi Hannah, we used to have the VW T5 camper version, loved it to bits, also had a a huge Awning on the side to make more space for sleeping and eating, glad you have come over to Europe to enjoy our way of life for a while

Amazing views. I lived near the southern Alps in Italy. I was about 45 minutes from Venice. Those switchbacks are grueling, but the scenery is worth the drive.
My Wife and I did the Grand Viking River Boat tour from Budapest to Amsterdam last August. Had a fantastic time. So much to see and visit. Enjoy yourself

This van would be nice for a long road trip where you just used it to sleep in and fix a little food and I am sure the milage is good, especially compared to my 30 foot motor home (about 6 to 8 mpg). I really like the having a bed room, a bathroom, a shower, a kitchen and dining area and a living room which a sofa :) Mine sleeps 6 adults and 2 smaller people or kids. I have a 40 inch tv in the bedroom and a 43 inch tv in the living room. My only problem is I don't tow a car or anything, so if I want to go to get a pack of gum, I have to break camp. Anyway, thanks for the tour.
Very similar design to a VW Westfalia camper I used to have. It had tinted windows. I could park on the street in really nice neighborhoods by the beach, and nobody knew I was sleeping inside. It was awesome! Nice video! ✌️😎🏝️🌊🏄

I actually own one but a bit different layout and color. Mine also has four wheel drive everything is neat except for their pricing. I live in Colorado the Rocky Mountains where I do loads of camping in my van plus traveling all over so far the western side of out country and western Canada. Sometime I may go east but not for a couple more years. The four wheel drive models have more ground clearance for off roading with more aggressive tread on their tires. Mine is a dark grey in color but for what it cost someone could purchase a large class A motor home but that’s not what I wanted. Thanks

Great van, the only thing that puts me off is the retail price. I reckon if you took a run at that snow-bound park-up you could get on it. Gravity should bring you back down when you're ready to leave. And if I was you I'd head south, it's still a bit cold in the mountains.
These sort of vans are great as they usually fit under height barriers. Bit of a squeeze for a family of four but definitely doable. You have an amazing figure,must be all that snowboarding 😍
Westfalia makes exactly what you're describing -- it's called the Wave -- on a ProMaster and available with or without a pop-top. It's 6'1" standing height so you really can do without the pop-top if you don't need 2 extra sleeping berths. It's not 4wd, but the ProMaster fwd with a 2" lift and decent tires can go a lot of places. About $155K and $165K with a pop-top.

There are several old castles to see in the Vosges mountains. Head towards Metz area tons of history(love history) Doc, you need to try a TART FLAMBÉE with thick cut bacon YUM! Alsace has great food.

If you can, stop in a local village and get fresh baked bread, or some (pound chocolate) i dont remember the spelling. Chunks of chocolate baked into a crossiant. Be safe. Seems I’m a bit out of order on your videos, I missed this one 😞 I LOVE the van! Very well thought out and seems to have everything except the bathroom, but, it does have a shower with a view so that’s amazing. I’d definitely sleep ‘upstairs’…I’d feel like a little kid. The Alps are spectacular! I can only speak for the Swiss Alps though, I haven’t been to the French Alps - some day perhaps. Looking forward to installment #3 🤗
Way cool. I’m 6’2” though and it’s probably too small for my kind. Also, It would be better if it lifted from the back because, if the SH’sTF and you have to bolt, your aerodynamics are screwed.
Funny enough at the time of filming i was camping in my american made Chevy Astro in Austrian Alpes. Probably few hundred km from Hannah location. Cheers fellow adventurer!
It's cool but I wouldn't own one, the inability to of road makes it no good. That would be cool for urban areas though and as always Hanna you are the best part of the scenery 😁
VW made a 4WD version of it's camper van (Vanagon) called the "Syncro". A limited number of these vans were exported to the USA from 1984 to 1992. You can still occasionally find them for sale but they are very rare and expensive. Ford sells its Transit Van with optional AWD. And a company in Sebastopol, California will do a complete camper conversion similar to the one in this video including the pop top.
