Wow. Neat piece and marvelous playing. (Your dynamic control and clarity of tone are particularly impressive.) Would you indulge me? I’m curious to know who manufactured your instrument .
Thankyou for the compliment! If you like this piece, I am sure you will love all of Valerie's music. I did an all-coleman CD, called "Wish", and there are many youtube clips out there of her, (she is a flutist!) myself, and others. And to answer your query, I play a silver Brannen with a 9k headjoint by Drelinger. thanks for listening!
I love your playing style!! The way in which you shade dynamic and pitch is so very cool. And your articulation is so deliberate and varied. Do you utilize your hands to alter the angle of your air reed? Or, do you also directly change the angle by a movement of the head? Maybe I'm getting that completely wrong, lol. It reminds me just a little bit of shakuhachi and ney players (and some of the exercises from Roger Mather's The Art of Flute Playing). I'm an amateur flute player, so a hobby of mine is searching for flute/picc/recorder recordings online. Your performance was really cool, and I've never seen a Boehm flutist play in quite the same way as you, so I thought I might as well leave a comment. Thank you for posting!
Wonderful Job Alexa! I love the Composition! Hope all is well with you!
This is absolutely stunning interpretation. Thank you!
