The clothes were gorgeous and the shoes were to die for, especially the heels. The camera work on the other hand, atrocious. Pick a door and stay on it, like it's a traditional runway show. Full look, then start to zoom in and pan up.
the clothes are amazing, styling by olivier is great as always, color palette, cuts, beads, fringes. quintessential prada pieces, redone. so happy to see kinga, querelle, elise, freja, meghan
I loved the "carwash" look on the bottoms, colorful shoes, socks, jackets, accessories. Prada knows how to put it all together and make it look amazingly well.
There is one thing I do not understand: you pay that set, the models as much as the world, but you only give a second to see every outfit. What nonsense! Burberry was the same way..
This is for us. After the show they do something called ReSee. In it they put the entire collection, including pieces that did not go to the runway, so the press and invited people can see the clothes calmly, they can even touch it, see the details, taking as long as they want.
Fashion shows are not for the TH-cam audience....before TH-cam, the public only saw high fashion in magazines and in boutiques (if they were able to visit them). These shows are for buyers, editors, photographers, clients, journalists, etc. The only reason Prada wants you to see their ready-to-wear is on the off chance it may inspire you to buy a wallet or fragrance (where they really make their money).
For me, runway show is about how designer wants us to see the garment movement. How is it looks like on the street. To see the details, they have the 'Re-See' event or just come to their boutique.
Mmmm it was an ok runway. I see they are trying to bring the carwash look back. I think maybe the styling was lacking for me, not sure. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you in the days to come.

Picasso , Dali et al ..... very clever stage setting - to bring a surrealist visual element - beatiful clothes - very edge-ily appropriate music - impressive presentation 😌
Perfect example of when if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. A regular catwalk would have worked just fine. Soon I was concentrating more on which door each model was going to come out of rather than the clothes they were wearing. Kinda defeats the purpose of showing a collection. And though I normally love Prada, it’ll be interesting to see how a car wash skirt fairs in the dead of winter. Just saying.
I agree, the location should enhance the effect of the clothes and not distract or even confuse. It was a nice and creative idea but it didn’t fulfill its purpose.
I like most of the designers works. I know how to appreciate creativity. But this one! No thank you. Last summer I was in Italy, and visited the Prada factory outlet store. I was surprised by what I had seen there. To say -Not attractive- is to say nothing. Most of the staff was horribly disgusting . This show confirms my feelings about Prada.
The camera work is making my head hurt... Dang. Who ever shot this video and edited needs to be fired. Lol you can't hardly appreciate the clothes and the runway.

Except for those ugly slashed/car wash wiper skirts, this show is pretty much classic Prada. It’s quite good. In fact, this reminds me of Fall 2012, which is one my favorite collections. No one makes a tailored coat or jacket more sexy than Prada. I loved to see Meghan Collison(?), Elise Crombrez, Kinga, cute as a button Xiao Wen Ju, and of course, Arizona Muse. I have to to say that I find the camera work annoying and doing a disservice to the viewers. Before I could look closely at an outfit, the camera pans to another outfit or another angle of the runway. I get the the runway is awesomely designed, but the emphasis should be on the clothes. The clothes are very intricately and beautifully designed, so I am going to have look at this collection more closely on the Vogue website.
Punk private school girl who knows all the trends and does them with wit. Her grandma was chic in the 30s and she enjoys pop art as a pastime. Someone get me these shoes. Not the crap knock offs that cut your feet but you think you’re chic because your man has a car; these!
