I know people have an issue with water spray but it's not the same as soaking them or showering them which isn't good. It's just a mist of water and it encourages them to groom each other. This worked with my bunnies, I did this 4 years ago and now my buns are a strong trio bond!
Thank you ever so much for posting these vids. I will be waiting with baited breath for each update. I have 6 bunnies that I have tried to bond. I had 2 goes which unfortunately didn't work for various reasons, my fault. We've all been on a break for a while and I'm ready to try again. I have a group of 4 and a pair. The problem I face is mainly between 2 boys, 1 from each group. Bandito's attitude to bonding is exactly like Basil (hope spelling is correct). So much so that even though technically not funny I couldn't help but laugh at his antics, so familiar. I have watched so many vids on bonding but yours is the closest to the situation I have and your way of doing it may work on mine. I do have them booked in with a bonder but she can't get me in 'til end of September so I want to try again then if it works I can cancel or keep it if it doesn't. I love the realism and honesty of your vids, please don't change to conform, I don't believe you woukd, this is more of a personal plea for selfish reasons 😀. I would like to ask if you are daytime or 24/7 bonding? The 2 times I tried before were 24/7 however as I am on my own, sleep became a bit of an issue. Also I was told never to separate once started however I have thought about putting a divider in, like you've done, anyway. This is just one reason why I am so interested in how it goes with you. Wishing all the best with your fur babies. I really hope it goes well. Again thank you for your honest approach and for sharing, it is very much appreciated.
You don’t understand how much I really appreciate your comment! Thank you so much! It was so hard for me to find videos and even articles and blogs on bonding multiple rabbits together. I just took what I learned from bonding the two pair I already have and reading those blogs and took a chance at it. 😂 I was confident to do it but really really anxious and nervous. This is why I think day 1 was so bad. Day 2 was better because I had rested my mind and got clarity and a fresh start. I would greatly advise that you separate and leave a gate between them if you decide to walk away. I left the gate up over night as I slept that way I wouldn’t have to start over the next day. I will most definitely go into detail within the next few videos. I will try to post updates more often then I normally post. (I will try every other day).
just a tip for bonding bunnys u might not wanna just focus on just the negative things like if they fight spraying them, if u associate them getting along and laying near each other with get treats and pets then they might be friendlier with each other if they know they'll get treats
Yes, I only gave them treats when they stopped biting and when I encouraged them to snack together. I didn’t want to over step my boundaries though so I didn’t do it often
Thank you so much for sharing your experience bonding your four adorable buns! I am about two start bonding two males and it was great to see a "live" bonding process rather than just a recap! I was wondering if I could have a little more information about your bunnies? Were they bonded pairs before this? Are any of them siblings? Also you have three boys and one girl, right? Hope your bonding process goes well!
Thank you! So the two older Buns and the two younger buns were bonded pairs. The two younger bun were freshly bonded before I bonded all four together. (I don’t know if that makes a difference on the experience lol) I don’t think the two younger ones are siblings but I did buy them at the same time from the same location. And yes I have 3 boys and a girl. I bonded my two older boys last year and it wasn’t bad. Are both of your boys neutered?
@@bunteathyme9398 Thats so reassuring to hear! Yes both of my bunboys are neutered and under a year old. How long did it take for you to bond your boys? I'm really hoping that we can have full family couch snuggle time in the not too far future!
It will be much easier to bond them since they are neutered and young! It took probably 2-3 days for them to fully bond. Basil was really interested in Rello when they were younger. Lol I couldn’t keep them apart. If I find some footage of them when they first bonded I will make a whole new video of just them two. It takes time but you will be able to hang out and snuggle and watch movies together in no time! 😄
Hello Please i want to ask you something about my bunnies My English not good I hope you understand me , i have 5 rabbits -3 boys 2 girls-( sterilization ) I have 2 rabbits with obsessive eyes (( boy and girl )), i really feel sad because i know it’s a very bad habit , what do i do to get rid of obsessive? Please tell me Also have another rabbit that started biting my other rabbit eyes , but she no obsessive with eyes, is it dangerous? (( another girl )) But i isolated her because i was afraid that she would hurt him in the eyes It’s because the females are not together ? Is biting the eyes dangerous of rabbits? They are my rabbits : Kentaru and Eva= obsessive eyes (( boy and girl)) and they are couples alone Dante and Nene = Nene started biting Dante eyes (( girl and boy )) and they are couples alone Dante and Oliver = they are good together but Nene hates Oliver (( boys )) I want a solution of the problem of biting the eyes I want to make my bunnies together but biting the eyes scared me
Whenever you wanna get the 3 together, now you're gonna have to undo all the progress you made with the two first ones. Bonds much break every time there is a new bunny introduced to the group. Should have just saved time. Also too soon to have items like water bowls and litter trays in the space. :/ Oh well. Hope they are altogether now though!
Wait I am tryna bond 3 rabbits and two are already bonded should I break their bond or not sorry this comment just confused me a bit maybe I’m just being dumb but any advice would help thx x
hiya, are these three males and one female? Basically, one male needs to be the Alpha, probabky Basil, who is the most dominant, then the female, then Mozzarelo and at the very bottom Sage, who is the weakest.
Where's the dust pan and the spray bottle for black rabbit! Poor girl's being terrorized, and little grey is traumatized. We have 15 rabbits and I wouldn't do this to them!
The dust pan made it so much worse. I used a dust pan on day 1 and they were fighting with it and every time they “boxed” the pan it would bounce back and hit them. I didn’t like that. So I started using a spray bottle on day 2. Rello (the black bun) got his share of sprays. Sage (the gray bun) he didn’t take the bonding process well but he made it through. But I have stated in my videos that I haven’t bonded more than two rabbits before. This was all new to me, there are barely videos out there bonding multiple rabbits. So I put this out there to give bun parents a real expectation and give some tips and ideas to help them. This video is from personal experience, I have a disclaimer to seek professional help if needed.
I had a similar problem, my girl rabbit hated the dustpan and it made her attack more. It’s really hard when you have one rabbit who seems to choose violence all the time! ( she is a sweetie most the time)
You have to make sure the water dosent get in their ears cuz it can cause an infection

I agree! It definitely worked for us too. I felt worse using the dust pan because they would hit it and it would just bounce back and hit them.
@@bunteathyme9398 yes that's true and they're such little things!

Yeah good advice
Ugh I’m sure this is so difficult! I’m trying to bond two bunnies and that’s hard enough 😅
It was very difficult honestly I think it was more difficult emotionally. Lol I was all over the place the first day.
Lol
I know a lot. About rabbits 🐇 ♥
Labai gražūs triušiukai labai patinka lovai kur guli triušis garde yra kur triušiukams kur lakstyti
Where did you get the clay looking veggie bowls I have same one but I have no idea where it came from I got it used
Did you keep them in this set-up day and night until bonded or did they go back to their original location at night?

Dante and Oliver = they are good together but Nene hates Oliver (( boys ))

Are your rabbits neutered. Do they not spray pee everywhere
All all 4 of hers are neutered , when fixed it’s uncommon or they do in others territory
