You youngsters and your fashion! I am loving the way your eyebrows come out above your glasses and wrap up over your hat! I'm going to stop getting the chainsaw out on my eyebrows and go for your look lad! Awesome!
Great video mate! Something a bit different!! Well done on passing ya own challenge! Made all the better coz i know this area well as used to live in Devizes!
Great video, what a super fun idea/challenge. My little boy was jumping up and down and shouting at telly for you to get it. Both him and me were buzzing for you. Happy days Joe!
@only_bricks_and_mortar ah that's amazing. Thank you so much for letting me know that. It's lovely to hear that my content is entertaining such a wide audience but most importantly, getting little ones excited about fishing! Cheers Joe 😁
Great idea on this one Joe and not an easy challenge at all, definitely passed it. Fair play to you and yes everyone should start out on the float after toddlers it teaches patience and how to play the fish on light tackle instead of dragging them in. Look forward to the upcoming videos think you have been doing a cracking job since going your own way!
Great video.and enjoying the different venue theme.fished Nunney castle after watching your video on that one.and defiantly 4 species of fish! The Gudgeon was great little catch too!
Great little video that Joe. Spurring me on to get out with my son who struggles to face going out. I started my fishing passion on the float but rarely get the float rods out nowadays. That outro music was nice too
@nuffinbutfishing I still class myself as a learner to fishing, at 45 years old I picked my first rod up just before COVID hit. Been trying to learn since. But watching videos like yours and Carls have taught and entertained me no end. Then there's the snagged bros for a good laugh! But I need to take a leaf out of your approach to this year and challenge myself more by getting those rods out! Keep it up and thank you!
Definitely a pass and a great video, you just showed you don’t need hundreds of pounds of kit to have fun fishing, it was back to how a lot of us started…… one rod, one reel, a few bits of tackle and a pot of maggots ……. nice one!
This is my home town! I’m always running up and down that stretch of canal and used to fish it a fair bit too. The pounds further down from where you were fishing used to be pretty good for carp up to around mid twenties. Sadly I think they’ve now been ottered. Also 2-3lb perch have been had from near where you were. Had I known you were there I’d have come on down! You’ll probably never pronounce it again in your life but Rowde is actually pronounced Rowde as in ‘a ‘rowd’y crowd’. Nice to see some of the landscape I’ve never seen in my 30 odd years because of your drone shots too!
Tough challenge, freezing water, slow fish but on the plus side no moving boats. Loved the tactics it would have been what I would have been close too. My go to float rod I bought slightly shy of 40 years ago and is still my favourite, especially for mugging carp on the surface, what can I say it’s just a trusty friend in the hand and I still use it to this day, comfortable light and I know how it handles. Well done on getting the fish, gudgeon are always there to be relied upon
Totally passed!!! Congrats. Nice little challenge in a beautiful spot. I was at my local day ticket pike fishing today. Back home now. Had 2 out in the end. 4lb 6oz and 15lb 7oz. I'm made up. Both stunning fish but the biggun is my pb!!!! Gave me a right old fight. Loved it. Thanks Joe for a cracking video to watch upon my return home!!!
Defo pass. I really loved this video. It's definitely a great video for anyone just starting out fishing, showing the fun and enjoyment that can be had with minimal and light gear. Hats off to you.
Me and my dad used to fish the stretch where the Blackhorse pub is located, back in the 90’s it held some big carp for the time, my dad caught the big one 19lb 8oz which was a good fish back then… lovely memories
Glad you done it and it was a bit difficult it made it more fun nothing like a bit of jeopardy brilliant well done Joe always a good watch thanks pass in my book buddy
HI Joe, your videos have always been great but you really are going to a different level, such great content - don't worry I'll not be so creepy on the social!
Nice vid, cool thought of challenge. We don't have those here lol. English countryside is pretty nice indeed. Almost wish I could live and fish there. Greetings from the Netherlands :) Hope you have a good time in Den Bosch.
Hello, I bumped into you a few weeks ago in keynsham in the Premier angling shop. I don't know if you remember but here are some recommendations for fishing Bigwell Fly Fishery is a must it has great water clarity and amazing trout. Also Poland is an amazing country to go fishing (I'm from there and fish there every summer). Goodluck
Love your videos, what’s that fish documenting app that you talked about at the start when you had the first perch, I live in boa so it was quite cool to see you fishing so near ❤
@joecritchley1769 if you type in go catch fish on your app store then you will find it orange logo with a t shaped into a hook 😁 cheers for watching and glad you enjoyed it
Me and my daughter had a great time fishing there on the float in February last year, that was until we packed away, and she decided to fall in off the mooring blocks
Great entertaining video Joe, never thought over half hour watching someone catch tiddlers would be so interesting. At 9.17 I was taken back in time, Avanti Float Rod, good memories of Roger Surgay aka "the man on the mic" and his tackle tours around the country. A legend till he sold out to Sports Direct.
Hi love your videos I saw that In your pike video you asked for venues in wales I know a very good one that I visit alot and could take you there if you want it’s called whitesprings and is a carp and coarse fishery
@@nuffinbutfishing I’ve been using an app called Fish Brain. Allows you to tag your catch on a map for others to see and the lure you used to catch it etc. been helpful for me just starting out to find places to fish for specific species, preferably pike haha
