Cute idea! I like the hearts idea, and I think it would also be cute to substitute the hearts with miniature family photos or a combination of both inside the glass vase.

gwen grayer that table/desk looks like an Ikea piece! They have a desk with shelving/storage by Kallax. We use this through tout our house. Ikea also has a lot of different brands and styles, depending on your space,

Use a hair dryer, low setting on cool sets the glue faster.
