If the Hustler had the earlier generation deck xr7 or the rear discharge deck it would be a no contest winner! Either way huslter super z 60" have serve me well since 2006, still impresses me every season! Thanks for sharing

@@americandream_89 the xr7 deck was designed to work with hustler's bacvac collection systems and had angled baffles to improve improve air flow of cutting in wet, dry, or tall condition! Their deck design is what made it a beast! The rear discharge is amazing too just not able to use it with a collection system. Thanks

You should look into the Country Clipper commercial line.
    1. operates by linked joystick
    2. deck can be lifted nearly vertical (and with a power tool)
    3. front axle articulates in the very center so it can flow with the terrain

I checked them out there is no dealer anywhere near. They are mostly in Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and south Iowa. I can't have a dealer that I have to drive 200 miles to to get service. But their mower sounds like a good option if you're in one of these states.

Out of these I would take the Exmark. I like the Toro/Exmark unitized parkers as a whole better than any drive system out there, they are powerful, reliable, and probably easier to work on than any other. I also love the weight balance of Toro/Exmark, light in the front means they handle a hill better in every regard other than going straight up and also means the front swings around easier. (Less likely to spin) Hustler would be my second pick and lastly the Scag. I feel like Scags spindle design, and overall build is outdated. I wouldn't have a mower with greasable spindles these days and I wouldn't touch that driveshaft deck with a 10' pole. (It takes more belts, more pulleys, a whole other spindle, and a whole gearbox). My favorite of all brands I've tried is Toro Z Master, a lot like the Exmark but a little less pricey spec for spec and imo a better deck.

I’ve never seen one that would just free wheel smoothly. All the high end units I’ve used have some kind of back pressure. Most of the hydrogear units also have a switch or lever that has be released for neutral position or to get them to free wheel properly.

Thanks for the sub buddy truly appreciate it. The mp60 is a great machine but not as smooth as the hyperdrive as they use a hydrogear pump. This will also run slower and have less down hill performance by a very slight difference. I prefer the look of tire on the big dog. It also has the grammar seat that isn’t as good as the hyperdrive seat. It would come down to cost per machine for my Decision. I think resale on the hyperdrive would also be more. Great job once again on your video! All 3 of those mowers are excellent machines. I have the SZHD, 66”, BV37 in my shop next to a Deere Z 970r, 72”, with the Kawasaki FX1000 35 Hp carb. The SZHD is considerably more comfortable than the Deere without question. If I’m mowing wet grass, or overgrown grass, I’ll go with the Deere every time. In normal cutting conditions, my SZHD, in my opinion, stripes much better and leaves a cut that equals or surpasses the Deere. A lot of comes down to personal preference and more importantly, dealer support. I am a big fan of all of those mowers and feel like the SZHD is really underrated! The fuel savings alone on that BV37 EFI is a big plus over the carb’d Kawasaki.

I feel like Dixie chopper makes a great mower from a build stand point. They use very high end Parker hydraulics. I used that 2019 Dixie chopper classic in a 72” cut for a month or so. The center of gravity is off on them because of seat height and fuel tanks. If you had flat ground or even slightly hilly they make a great mower.

I run exmark lazer z x 801v and hustler hyperdrive 31 kawi and I can tell you from experience the exmark does better in certain conditions! If you are in dryer conditions hustler edges it out some bc they have more blade speed! Love them both but if I’m mowing wet grass exmark does not clump as bad as hustler! Another thing better with exmark is leaf clean ups it picks leaves up a lot better and it will do it in reverse just as good as forward and hustler nor scag does this worth a flip! So my pick is exmark but like I say it just really depends on the conditions! I have flex forks on hustler and exmark and they both ride good! Hustler is a longer machine therefore it rides a touch smoother

    • @americandream_89

Each machine has a strong suit cutting as you said. I’ve been told by many scag will not cut in reverse but haven’t had a issue with my hustler. I run high lift all year. What blades do you run?
As far as ride it’s not even close between the 2 hustler is 10x better in any case. I’ve let so many people on my hustler that’s the first thing they notice is how smooth. The hustler also delivers hydraulic power so much smoother. Exmark is very jerky for someone that’s never ran one.
