I think he’s one of the best learners you have had on the channel! He just needs to get comfortable with being in second gear and building speed, also sometimes he stopped when turning to use 1st gear but he should have kept it rolling in second and just gone but this comes with experience! I thought it was a really good drive!

Congrats 😃 passed first time too at the end of January myself with 20 hours of paid lessons ☺ spent a lot of time driving with my mum too though so around 40-50 hours total.
Did my theory first time too and got my licence in 7 months!

In terms of lose objects in the cabin, as an aviation enthusiast who monitors some of the incidents and accidents, im very aware of them. Last year a helicopter crashed from low altitude because a tablet device fell from its stand and got stuck between the pedals. As a resuld they lost control of their aircraft and spun to the ground. Both pilots were killed from the crash. In Greece it is prohibited to drive woth sandals that dont have a back strap and are not secure to the feet. For this to happen i don't want to imagine how many accidents were caused from lose footwear obstructing the pedals... it is so esay yo just wear normal shoes that you know you can comfortably drive with and change them if you want. They don't take up any space. I'm also considering just keeping a pair of shoes in my car when I get it (hopefully within the next couple of months) permanently, just for safety. I already know i have a pair of winter boots that are thick and i don't feel the pedals well; i tried them driving around the neighbourhood and i know that if i want to wear them in a day i will be driving i would have to change to them after the driving and back to driving shoes for the drive back etc. Sorry for the long comment there, i hope to raise a bit of awareness to anyone who might read this and if this ends up saving 1 life, it is worth all my time no question.

22:05 The road here is in three lanes but the left hand lane is "left turn only". The traffic authorities have even put a hatched box to make it obvious that you should not go straight on from lane 1. There are a pair of straight on lanes and we are in the left of this pair and we must allow for a vehicle in the right hand one of the pair. Judging all positioning from the left is key as you need to follow the kerb line, in this case the right hand edge of the hatched box on the left. Failure to do so you end up inadvertently changing lanes. At 22:09 you need to go left leaving appropriate space for the left turners but there is no drawn line to help on the other hand the "keep clear" box has lines that encourage you to go wrong. I think you need to think about two lanes of traffic negotiating many junctions
Agreed that roundabout is absolutely ridiculous. Zero indication where the lanes are meant to be from our driver's perspective, just some confusing boxes slapped in the middle.

how did you get on?
Getting ready to book my test in a couple weeks time. Very nervous but hoping these videos can help me feel extra sure on decision making. Trying to think of it as “the worst that can happen is I fail and need more practice and try again” thank you for your videos they’ve definitely helped me so far 🥰 (I’m now at 40 hours with my instructor and probably another 10 with family. Driving has not come easily to me and I find it very stressful)

I have my driving test at the end of April and I'm so nervous. I know it's not for ages but I can't get a professional instructor because of waiting lists etc so I'm just learning with my dad, and although he's great I keep watching stuff like this to try and get better but I feel like I'm never going to pass. I want to pass so badly - it's the only thing I want right now.

Hes a good driver his minors are easily fixable by his test date and straightlining the roundabout which im sure is easily fixable too. I have no doubt that he will pass his test. Good luck
Here i am thinking i was done with driving test 5 years ago and now im back again for my PCV license to become a bus driver 😂.
Good driver but changes gears too much. I have a petrol car too and it's an old petrol but even I dont change gears *that* often. Granted I sometimes like driving in a lower gear for more power but that amount of gear change is excessive 😂
Apart from that, great drive and he took that road with all those construction barriers and trucks really well. Maybe the camera made it seem like the car was bigger/road was smaller than it actually was but I'd be slightly scared to drive there on a wider Mercedes. Bear in mind I have a very small Volkswagen 😂
Maybe he was just getting use to the new car, but does he not get marked down for the abrupt/harsh braking and gear changes? Ur channel is the best Aman! Gonna go for Auto to Manual conversion test soon, so ur channel has been an invaluable help! 🙏

These UK roads are mad, cars parked on both sides everywhere basically making every street a one lane road where you need to drive in the middle
Quick question, Ive got my test in a month and I've just bought blind spot mirrors for my car, I'm using it for the test, can I use the blindspot mirrors without looking over my shoulder?

Honestly not too bad for a learner.
I love how he looked at you after the emergency stop 😅 it's like you'd ruined his day completely 😄 he's a really good driver, overdo your observations! My instructor told me the lesson before my test that my observations weren't the best but on the test I didn't get any minors for ANY of my observations ☺
On that roundabout both of the cars behind did exactly the same thing as him 🤭I ALWAYS exaggerate my left line around a roundabout on a multi lane one, the most crucial time to keep lane discipline!
My mock test went great, passed with 3 minors but on my test I got really nervous and made mistakes I've never made before 😔 passed with 5 minors first time though but was quite close to failing. Nerves got the best of me on the day but since passing I've not felt as nervous even on my first solo drive 🙂
I passed my test last month and I don't consider myself the best driver ever. But I look like a professional next to some of these plums.

I have full automatic licence. If i change it to manual will it come as a fresh licence. I mean will the insurance companies consider my new manual licence as a fresh licence.

on my driving test i had to deal with a very similar situation at 0:02 but i had less space with cars either side of the road with cars coming from the other end so i had to anticipate with poor visibility but i still passed though 😁

Im taking my test for the 6th time next week i watch all these driving videos religiously and i seem to always make just one silly mistake that fails me.
I am actually still in dilemma with this fault at the roundabout, Aman, @clearview driving
I have watched @22:25 till the end of the roundabout over and over with confusion.
Is the serious fault because he straightlined the second roundabout or because he didn't check his mirrors before changing lanes?
He changed lanes at the first roundabout and didn’t check mirrors

No its test to see where you are. Its a bit of a modrn thing for TH-cam. Its not something i ever did.

Why do people try so soon. Its recommended you do at least 40 hours of instructor lessons and 50 hours with parents/family/friends before taking your test.
Because that’s very expensive and most people can pass with a lot less lessons

These people that tell you they passed after 4 lessons or very few lessons. Many are not telling the full story that a lot of these people will also have been practice outside of lessons which makes a hugh difference. I had 6 lessons plus maybe 40 to 50 hours practice and passed first time. So get concerned about how few lessons someone says they have had, its highly likely they have being have practice
I don’t think it’s recommended but it’s listed as the average amount of time it takes someone to pass, 40 hours. I personally passed in 28 hours of professional lessons. I didn’t practice outside of my paid lessons either. So it was a solid 28 hours, but I also used the best driving school in my area, highest reviewed so my instructor was 10/10 and most people pass with this school. I was done learning in 20 hours and the rest was mock tests. It’s definitely possible. People who say less than that are a bit suss though. I couldn’t imagine passing in 14 hours unless I’d driven before or had lots of outside family practice

The bus was waiting behind in front of the queue in a four way temporary traffic light here in south west London
While waiting, a car literally speed through while this was on red light and luckily no accident happened.
Very dangerous, i repeat very dangerous Aman.
