It was a really good write up. Crashed pulled back the curtain which was pretty nice, and admitted some stuff wasn’t so great and told us some stuff was great. I enjoyed the banquet personally, spent 20kish units, and will again this year. The crystals being more fun to pop will absolutely be a win, I’m excited to see what they do this year.
You have to think about it from a business perspective if these are the people employed who isn't that are so bad maybe they have worse qualifications or they're worse than kabam which would definitely be an exaggeration but still and you can't just lay off people with a snap of your fingers you require options
I feel like they should give compensation for the people who bought the units at the beginning of the event and then the next couple days they release the banquet unit bonus offers that was very wrong of them to do to players trying to do the banquet event
The fact they, let’s be honest here, completely screwed paying players on just the summoners sigil and haven’t given any explanation that clarifies anything about the consequences of that for players and haven’t addressed gameplay issues speaks volumes about how bad kabam has gotten over the last months. We all called it when they did the downsizing and other employees started jumping ship that it was a sign kabam is a sinking ship.
They made 11 m last month, so longevity for the player base to keep playing is theirs utmost priority. But the ceiling the ceiling is the issue. The banquet is not really important to a majority of the player base but its important to Kabam that the minority( whales ) spend

I bought the Sigil, then when the update dropped for the new sigil I bought that as well but then it disappeared and now I’m out $10. Is this a bug or something or is this intentional?
i think with a better spread on droprates in the crystals it would have been ok (for a regular banquet event) , but that was the Grand Banquet big 10 yrs anniversary and players was expecting to feel it, at least i did. so it was super desapointing. even kabam Crashed keep talking it like a regular banquet all his post
Hopefully they don't hype it up like it's going to be the greatest thing ever just to open dookie. I'm pretty sure the excitement is in opening the Crystal's for everyone but could be wrong. But in the end kabam doesn't care bc they're making money
The reality is kabam knows that lots of bots run in arena every day. Many of those top 1000 accts don’t spend cash, but because they are active enough to keep real spenders engaged, they encourage this type of activity. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if kabam had their own intercompany bot accts. Maybe ran by subs but regardless, anything they can do to increase perceived player base is a win for them. If they wanted to stop the unit inflation issue, they could lower battle chips and milestones for arena farming and stop giving any chips out beyond like 20 matches. F2P would cry, but the amount of time these people would get back to do proactive things IRL would far out weigh this unit farming addiction. Now you’d also get rid of all the accts running bots for units. This clearly won’t happen, as kabam not only accepts current bot situation, but they encourage and want to grow it.

I had an interesting experience with the Banquet event. I started playing MCOC around 2017 but took a break around 2022. Coming back in November 2024, the Banquet event was my first major event experienced in my return. I had around 3000 units saved from when I had taken a break, so I sank them all into GBCs and was able to get several 7* out of it. It actually helped me progress and now I’m back and enjoying the game more than ever in a great alliance. The point is, it wasn’t good for just whales, it was good for me too!!
i don't quite understand why you are FTP. since the game helps you with content creation and therefore revenue. if everyone is FTP the game will collapse. why not spend a minimal amount rather than not spending completely.
@@ravidavi5375 if the game had more consistent revenue streams throughout the year, perhaps kabam could be more generous. as it stands, the banquet is one of the key money making time of the year for them. if we all spent a little each, they would bbe less dependant on these big events.

Actually Paragon rewards are the same TB, Valiant is better, not great, but definetly better. Being Paragon is pointless.
