What a great-looking group of young people. No obesity. No tattoos, nose rings or purple hair. Good health on display. People ate home-cooked meals. No processed foods. A totally different world.
I have two TH-cam channels, and both are based on films that depict America when it was still America. Thank you very much for watching and have a great day.
Yes it was definitely a different time. Everything you find on this channel I have digitized from either 8mm, super 8 and 16mm films. I have some 28 and 35mm film but none of that has been posted here yet. Thank you so much for watching.
Wish I could have lived in California at that time. I moved there in 1990 after alot of damage had been done but when it was much more liveable than when I bailed in 2020
I’ve lived here since 1964. Got out twice for about a year each time but my wife’s family is from here so we came back and stayed. I will die here regretting that decision.
Not everyone was as patriotic as we would like to remember. Even during WW II there were more than a few shirkers. At 18 in 1942 my father graduated from highschool in June. By August he joined Navy and spent most of his time in combat.
Wow! I had to look long and hard to find a chubby guy like myself. There was one at 2:24 and another @5:12. I loved seeing all the happy people; being in the moment with family and friends. What have we done to ourselves?
interesting how some folks dont care they are being filmed, but some are brushing off sand, getting close together for a good "shot" etc,,, ha ha,,, even those boys with the towels,, trying to act normal, but they are kinda embarrassed of being filmed
I think most young people back then had a higher degree of modesty. I grew up on a farm out in the country and we were much the same way. Self-conscious and a little bashful. Thank you for watching.

The Greatest Generation.
81 years ago. Incredible.
Look how clean everything was back then. When America was still America.

Those sun kissed young people. It's another world before Ultra Processed Foods. American was a confident, full employment nation
Check the girls hairstyles. Classical forties.
Some of these guys (and girls) were probably on leave from the services.

The 70's and 80's also great CA times!
@@vikkiorlando5470s are the best!! It all turned to garbage in the 80s
How did these guys avoid serving in the military at the height of the war?
Some may have been in the navy, stationed in San Diego or San Pedro or their selective service number just hadn’t popped yet.

This is the white America we've been told needs to be transformed so we can have lives of rich diversity. They do look happy though.
The idea of "Diversity" has had its moment in history. Now all "diversity" brings is division.
Over 90% of the people seen have already passed on.
99.5%
They are not missing much.
