    There was no doubt in my mind when Mahomes got that ball in overtime and needed a TD to win it that he was gonna drive them down the field. Both teams were exhausted, but Mahomes just drove the ball down the field with ease. We’re witnessing greatness everyone, just enjoy it.

      I'm not a 49ers fan, but I've been a fan of McCaffery's since Stanford. It's hard to overcome a diversity hire as your defensive coordinator. The Chiefs were up against a flag football defense. Zach Wilson probably would have been able to lead them to victory last night. Steve Wilks never should have been hired. Completely unqualified to call plays, I'm convinced that Bosa and the other talented players were getting stops on talent alone

    • @RobbieStacks90
      @RobbieStacks90 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      The greatest player in sports right now is either Caitlin Clark in women's basketball or Luka Doncic in the NBA. Mahomes is getting credit for his defense taking advantage of awful situational play-calling by SF that didn't allow McCaffery to touch the ball at the most important junctures of the game as well as a horrendous defense called by Steve Wilks that basically let Mahomes sit in the pocket until receivers got open, if they weren't open off the snap. His team won the game, but he didn't make any plays that would make you think he was greatness personified.

    I can't believe the 49ers did not just give KC the ball after they won the toss in OT. I mean for fucks sake, it's Mahomes. There is pretty much nobody I would rather NOT have the ball at the conclusion of a game with the power to put my lights out. So Mahomes then drove down the field and scored in predictable fashion. What a shocker. With the game on the line, that is what the man does quite well in such situations.

      Two things - 1) there are reports that 49er players did not know the rule change in OT in playoff games, they assumed the same as regular season, maybe they made a mistake. 2) Also maybe they thought KC defense was exhausted and wanted to attack before they got some rest.

He is probably worse than Colin Kaepernick or Jimmy G. Niners need to draft a QB this offseason, and then retain Brock Purdy on a $5 Mill contract as a solid "Nick Foles type" of backup QB.*
    2. *Mahomes is a game changer. Brock Purdy is a game manager. Mahomes scored a TD from the 17 yard line. Purdy couldnt.*
    3. *Defense wins championships. 49ers were stopped at the 17 yard line, and had to settle for a field goal. Chiefs didnt settle for a field goal and scored for the win.*

    If you think about it, the teams that Greeny mentioned throughout the decades, at least during the Super Bowl era: 60s Packers, 70's Steelers, 80's 49ers, 90's Cowboys, 2000's and 2010's Patriots, and now 2020's Chiefs. I've noticed some really interesting. The teams that they beat in some of their Super Bowls or in the Packers case, the NFL Championships in the late 60s before SB I and II, they played and beat them twice to become the "Team of the Decade". Packers beat the Cowboys twice in a row in the late 60's to win their last ever two NFL Championships before winning SBs I and II. Pittsburgh beat Dallas twice in the 70's in SBs X and XIII. The 49ers beat the Bengals twice in the 80's in SBs XVI and XXIII. The Cowboys beat the Bills two years in a row in SBs XXVII and XXVIII in the 90's. The Patriots beat the Rams twice in SBs XXXVI and LIII during 2000's and 2010's respectively, and now you have The 2020's Chiefs who now have beaten the 49ers twice so far in this decade to win their Super Bowl Championships in SBs LIV and LVIII. I thought that was really interesting, I had to point that out.
