Hi Emmelie 🎸 - Alice In Chains ⛓️ are one of my favourite bands. Jar Of Flies 🪰 is my favourite record of theirs. I like that they were able to carry on despite the tragic loss of the brilliant Layne. They are still brilliant live. Keep Rocking !
Have you heard of the Manic Street Preachers? Their 3rd album The Holy Bible is a monumental piece. One of my favourite albums ever. Not just for the songs, but the context and the story behind it is integral to the album. Perhaps try it sometime, I hope you'd like it.
Great non-metal . . . can't wait to see part 2 . . . looking at how much metal vinyl you have, that video gonna be a long one. 😄 What is the first new vinyl you will buy in 2023 or did you allready buy something? For me it was the new Iggy Pop cd. Also was able to buy some second hand stuff . . . glad i have music, that way it's a great start of the year. Keep on rocking! 🤘
Thanks! I haven’t bought anything yet but I’m considering getting Plastic Hearts by Miley Cyrus. Recently discovered that album and I love it so much! Last one I got was Alice In Chains. Awesome!
What year did you start collecting vinyl? Guitar Hero is so fun i recently got myself the guitar controller for Xbox so i could play the games again lol not as good as i use to be
I got my record player in 2012 and started with a few albums from my dad, started buying my own a while after that I think :) I still have my PS2+3 guitars so I can still play, it’s been a long time ago though
Cool non-metal collection update Emmelie! Nice to see Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains & Rage Against the Machine. I'm not a fan of My Chemical Romance but that's cool that you like them.
I consider some of these to be very related to heavy metal. Alice In Chains' Dirt album was featured in the Metal Hammer issue of last month, and also there are lots of metalheads who are MCR fans. I remember 20+ years ago hard-rock and pop-rock were lumped together with heavy metal as 'rock music', and the total separation began only in recent years. I still think that Dirt is metal though.
Nice choices. I also have got Dirt from AIC. Besides metal I've got a bunch of ska albums. Those are the remains of my childhood. Madness and The Specials. Still really nice to listen to something else than metal.
That's cool you like Alice in Chains and Pearo Jam. My uncle has US first pressings of some of those. The 1st pressing of tripod album by AIC goes for almost $1k USD💀
Interesting how 'grunge' came about; always preferred what we called Sob Pop - dirtier garage sound but by early 90s the 'grunge' trend hit and for me it lost its meaning. Mother Love Bone were puvotal; glam, sleaze, funkiness and without them no Pearl Jam
Emmelie very cool bands what you say.Alice in chains is the best, listen if you have time same very good albums 10/10 from Gallery of mites-Bugs on the blue fish,Nebula -To the center, and from Kyuss-Blues for the red sun,is masterpiece L.p.s and listen easy for one grunge fun like you.

Pearl Jam's Ten is eternal. It'll always mean the world to me
