Max is a puppy dawg around Helen, totally oogly googly. Consider: the LAST person Max wanted to see was that tough-as-nails cancer specialist when Helen "let him go" as her patient; Max hemmed, hawed. Avoided. But when flirting, riffing, going googly over Helen, all she had to do, literally, was crook her finger, and Max followed her, puppy dawg woof woof...straight to Dr. Tough-as-Nails. THAT, is not only Helen KNOWING that Max is merely crushing on her, but totally in love: Max floats above everything, EXCEPT when it comes to Helen. And that's because for Max, Helen IS EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING.
