I adore watching this program, and I love the way the bedroom turnout out. Plus this: I am never going to hire a designer. Just because I don't want to panic over a ceiling.
I also don’t love the outcome and here’s why: this was filmed on 2005 and maybe aired that year or the following year, during the season. It’s what I remember other home design shows doing in terms of patterns, colors, etc. We don’t know the budget or the time frame which is what I hear in the comments of things not being more fussy or exciting. I have so many ideas when I see this room but then I think “if I knew the answer to these questions I’d better understand the execution or decision making.” So I applaud the team, the homeowners and the behind the scenes ppl we never meet on camera. But is it a long term love that we’d all want today mid 2022? Probably not by the comments.
Looking at the rest of their house I think a more linear pattern, then the ornate circles, would have been more in keeping with their taste. I can't image her husband will ever like it.
Why were they spraying/working in that room with the bed still there? It's not even staying!! The ceiling. Well pretty sure if we knew what it cost NO ONE would do it. It will be a dust collector and the spiders will have great fun with their webs. Doesn't matter how dramatic it is--cost wins every time. That light fixture is just silly. I don't' get it. They spent a pretty penny getting a junction box there for a fixture that's decorative I suppose but not illuminating AT ALL. In the end that's a GIRLS room. No man will feel at home there. Mom and her daughters will love it. Dad will have to find another space.
That is not a girl's room. the colors are muted and elegant. The headboard should feel very comfortable for either gender. that ceiling is spectacular as is the beautiful lighting fixture.
Tommy’s jacket is the exact same color as the boring beige wall color. But it doesn’t look boring on Tommy!!! (It does in the room though). The finished bedroom is lovely and elegant but ~yawn~ …..yeah, it’s pretty boring.
this episode might be 15 years old and yet it still resonates. beautiful design.
True sign of a superior designer. Sarah & Tommy are amazing.
If I could afford Sarah and Tommy ,I would get them to do my whole house. Just love there style and there finishing touches
I think I’ve watched and studied their work for two decades I could definitely emulate their approach in my house 🏡
That's the most gorgeous, dreamy bedroom I have ever seen. 2023. Wow.
My dream ceiling 🥰
Absolutely gorgeous and so classic. It is so calming and soft. Waking up to that is so lovely and relaxing 😎.
That ceiling is so gorgeous, but all I can think is what a nightmare it would be to dust!!! 🤣🤣😫
Soooo pretty!
The room is beautiful and so is the client.
Beautiful bedroom 😍
Lovely room. The ceiling is beautiful but it could be a beast to dust.
Leaf blower! Easy! 😉
@@TravelersWarden 😂😂😂
If one can afford the ceiling, one can afford someone to clean it.
@@jrbigger Fair point. 👍🏻
I'm gonna copy this!
...Just a thought - extra straps for carrying the rugs? ;)
And, I didn't know that money-is-no-object-Tommy was allowed to go shopping alone, lol!

Absolutely stunning! ❤
Love Love Love Tommy's red messenger bag.....where can I get one? PS LOVE the show too!
I would have asked for the ceiling to be done in stencil and paint or even wallpaper.

Love the ceiling but how could the client have doubted it. The pillow overload on that chaise, however …
Beautiful bedroom but odd it doesn’t have an ensuite.

I love your designs but I didn't like the ceiling. Glad the owner came around. That probably was a lot of work and money.
