Great video Michael! I'm already quite familiar with Inkscape from creating RedBubble car art, but I'm curious - do you have a link to those technical drawings anywhere for the Pi the the 40mm fan? I'd love to have them when designing cases for reference to scale!
Thanks Kody. The drawings I've used for the Pi and fan are both just ones that came up when searching "40mm fan dimensions" or "raspberry pi dimensions" under google image search. You can find drawings for most other standard size fans as well - 30mm, 60mm, 80mm, 120mm etc.
Inkscape is open-source and perpetually free. I also find its easier to work with for designs that are inherently "2D" as it doesn't have as much of a learning curve as Fusion360.
OK, i'm sold, next week i'm gonna buy a laser cutter. Hope you are proud of you Michael :p
