I think her rivalry with Molag Bal demonstrates her sphere very well. Through Domination, Bal exudes the idea of punching down while Boethia is more about punching up for self improvement/survival
My Telvanni Wizard was unusually religious for a member of his house, and his patron Daedra was Boethiah. I always felt like the Telvanni’s might equals right culture is a way of life that Boethiah approves of and so my Telvanni was quite proud of himself when Boethiah says she would write his name on the tablet of darkness. A good boy for mommy….. whoops! I mean a loyal follower of the greatest daedra!
@@terrelldurocher3330 Listen, this man is clearly a roleplayer. His character probably doesn't know that there's a guy in Morthal who can cure him. And with that in mind, answer this: Why on Nirn would you ever want to go to Morthal?

Answer: No. Denounce the Daedra and reject their lies. With Meridia and her Acolytes at my side, we shall bring order to this aimless universe. Through law; we bring peace. Through peace; we bring upon you joy. Through joy; we bring paradise. And through paradise; we’ll be rid of the gods once and for all. -Jyggalag.
Says the Daedric prince of order.😂 And technically speaking, even after getting separated from Sheogorath, the Daedric prince of insanity. After all, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result *looks at the grey march*
I managed to translate the Daedric on the pillar of sacrifice, “I am alive because that one is dead, I exist because I have the will to do so.” At first I had trouble because it translated to gibberish, but then I realised it was backwards and it makes sense. Makes sense considering it’s a pillar of sacrifice.
I think Boethia has a cool concept but at the same time, I respect the things that Trinimac stood for. Two of my favorite Et'Ada, despite their feud and opposing ideologies
Just found this channel and I'm OBSESSED! I'm really enjoying going back through your catalogue and I wanted to thank you for all the awesome content! Since I see you play ESO (at least occasionally) I'd like to make a suggestion/request. I'd LOVE to see more ESO specific lore videos of any kind! I can't tell you how many hundreds of hours I've spent playing Skyrim and reading/watching Elder Scrolls lore, but I never get more than half an hour into ESO before I want to tear my hair out. My brain simply cannot grasp MMOs and I find the whole thing so overcomplicated and unsatisfying. I've searched high and low and I can't find any satisfying lore videos that focus specifically on the ESO storylines and how they tie in to big picture. I know your videos (and pretty much everyone elses) draw from ESO lore to talk about larger concepts, which is great, but there seems to be a real lack of content that focuses on what is actually happening in the game itself. When searching for any recommendations for this kind of thing, my only responses have been "just read the wiki" or "get gud, scrub". Thanks, reddit. So here I am, a scrub, asking a stranger to make me free content explaining stuff that a lot of people probably already know. Do it or don't, nbd. I just know we're kind of in an Elder Scrolls content drought and this is a topic that I feel isn't talked about to death yet.
The only daedra I actually admire is Hircine!! He really helps the ones that worship him... And gives some totems, rings and other artifacts to buff the Warewolfs!!
When looking closer Boethiah has a little bit of overlap with Mehrunes Dagon. Dagon seeks revolution and destruction for destruction sake, but Boethiah seeks for conquest and murder for the sake of strengthening. I really like the unyielding nature of Boethiah as a sort of dark wandering warrior. Perfect for an assassin play through, but also a warrior who’s happy to play dirty as well. Victory at any cost.
Before i even saw this video, I decided to support Boethia. To the point where in my current save i bought the Goldenhills Plantation and chose to put up a shrine of Boethia.
Great video! Could you maybe make the similar one, but about Hircine? While watching this one I'm stuck in discussion with a guy who offended my favorite Prince. Type of guy who claims that "all Daedra are evil" and most likely have a dakimakura with Stendarr
“Unlawful overthrowing of government” looks like they share a domain of influence with Mehrunes Dagon. Their ideas of revolution differ a bit but are not that far from each other. I wonder if they like each other or see each other as rivals. Probably latter.
Gladiators? Sure, sometime. Survival of the fittest or strongest also. Very much. But as a wandering Warrior with no need for honorous fights I see hime/her more es a Sith-Ronin
I don't care for any daedric prince, but I'll take their rewards from their quests without any actual loyalty to them. That said I do have some respect for Mehrunes Dagon.
No. Worshipping Boethiah is like Worshiping Tzeentch in Warhammer 40k. Sure, Tzeentch represents hope and change, but he's also the God of plots, lies, trickery, and betrayal. You could sacrifice planets and perform rituals in his name, and he might turn you into soup just because.
If you see your opponent's honor as a crutch because you'd not win a fair fight without tricks and backstabbing then you're the one using crutches. Depends how you define the strongest / fittest to survive I guess...
Well, given that Boethiah was one of the driving forces of Lhodos plague conspiracy in Deshaan during Second era, I have no issue to throw him/her into "evil" cathegory.
The fact that Boethiah has bested both Trinimac and Nocturnal in single combat is an impressive pair of feats. You already point out in the video how Trinimac is the strongest of the Et-Adda, but among the Daedric lords, Nocturnal is easily an equal of the likes of Molag Bal or Mehrunes Dagon, though she certainly doesn't let on that she's that powerful.
My Argonian Spellsword, who opposes the Daedra: No My Breton Spellsword, Last son of the Spetim Bloodline, and Scorn of the Daedra: No (Beat Dagon Twice, and only helped Peryite to get Spellbreaker) My Nord (soon to be) Vampire Hero, who opposes Molag Bal: ... Maybe, might fit thematically, but He's a hero character, and a Light armor specialist. So Still No. My Dunmer Technomagi, Last son of House Dagoth, and unknowingly the reincarnation of Voryn Dagoth himself, set to lead his family and people back to glory: Fffffffuuuuuuuck no. Dagoth Ur held all gods (excluding himself) in extreme contempt. If the Nerevarine addresses Dagoth as a Self-Willed Hero, he'll say that the Nerevarine will be the one who "teaches the gods their limits" in what seems like respect and almost admiration. Veleyn Dagoth (my character) holds a similar disdain for the divine, his family carrying the truth of Azura for example, that she cursed the entire Chimer race for the actions of 3. And while Boethiah and Mephala didn't help Azura curse the Chimer into the Dunmer, they also didn't STOP Azura, so Veleyn has no love or respect for them. (plus I made this character around being decked out in Dwarven armor for the sake of using Sunder and Wraithguard). If I play a Khajiit Pyromancer/Spellsword (a build Idea I've toyed around with), I'll probably end up using the Ebony Mail with Goldbrand, going for a Vigilante style character. But until then, I'll not be worshiping Boethiah.
@masterneloth you're awesome am happy to see you literally took time to reply to me you sir are great and until next time you ducking decide to upload 😋🤣🤣
