Well, Angelinos have been waiting for nine long years for a “Pasadena Blue Line” vision to become a reality, and, by golly wow, it had finally happened.
For me when I come back to L.A. for my vacation, the minute I get off Amtrak’s Southwest Chief from Chicago, no more taking the B (Red) or D (Purple) Subway lines anymore to 7th Street to transfer. From now on, I got directly to the Union Station platform, get on the A train and take it to either Little Tokyo/Arts District, Historic Broadway, Grand Avenue Arts or even 7th Street and transfer to the E (Expo Gold) Line train bound for Santa Monica.

      @@thexavier456 Line A is a light-rail line. Not a tram.
      Tram and streetcars:
Mostly 1-2 wagon trains. Running mostly with cars on street level. You have these in Oslo, Melbourne, Milano, and Belgium coastline etc.
      Light Rail:
Longer trains than trams. Runs almost the entire route on its own dedicated tracks. Doesn't get stuck because of traffic at all. Hence line A which switches between street-level and tunnel sections. The station platforms are mixed. Some are low others are tall.
      Tram-Trains:
These are like Light-Rail, but they can run on railway tracks. You can find them in Karlsruhe, Kassel, Den Haag etc. These types use the same height of platforms as local trains use.
      Metro and Underground:
These systems run the entire length on their own, except for maybe a few exceptions. The station platforms are tall.

My bad for the cussing! I got way too excessive and too excited about this event that took very long to finish! With all seriousness, for more than 30 years of the envisioned 'Pasadena Blue Line' has more become a reality, and I am very happy to come over to this historical event

I was on the A line last night. The new cars smell fresh and clean and so did the new Historic Broadway station. Best ride I ever had on the Metro. Ride it soon before the filth and dangerous element become the norm. That should take about a week. Wiggins loves the spotlight when a new line or station is built but she will hide when people start complaining as things quickly deterorate which will inevitably happen.

I take the B line (red) to work everyday and I’m telling u it’s nasty and scary and I was almost got rob and beat up twice and this is Hollywood and vive station such was a beautiful station…The beautiful and cleanliness won’t last…homeless and criminals and r ready to move in and no one will do anything about it. 😢

You're right. I'm thinking the same thing. We spend billions of dollars on beautiful trains and stations only for homeless people to take it over and poop and do drugs in there. Very sad, we need to put these people away!

How much are you willing to spend to solve the homeless problem? We need more affordable housing in more areas . Otherwise the cost of housing will continue to push more people into poverty. We need to do more to create more jobs that pay a good wage. And note that I am not saying that any standard liberal or conservative solution is the answer. Not all homeless people are mentally ill, but living on the streets can drive you crazy.
