Thank you for this insightful video. I can see that in your saml assertion the Issuer (Entity ID) is not empty. But mine is empty while following exact same steps.
Thank you so much for this! I am starting out with PingFederate and I was a little bit lost with all their different products. Ping themselves don't provide any good setup video. Your video helped me plenty, you are a life saver :)
@Reza Khan Yeah, it can get a little confusing, just remember the top row are the main areas and then whichever "area" you are in, there will be options in the second row of breadcrumbs.
Thanks a lot! Especially for the Simple Test tool from RSA! I have SAML set up with ADFS for my hosted applications, however, the re-direct is not to my applications but the console. Any idea why?
Under IdP adpaters you can create a new one and decide what type it should be. There is a basic html template form available that you can setup how you wish.
They are different ways of interacting with applications, Reference ID Adapter for example, will allow you to pass attributes directly to the server through HTTPS calls. I haven't dealt much with either personally, mostly use HTML and other adapters (ID first, header authentication, CIDR, etc)

Glad to help! Yes, their products can get confusing, especially when they keep changing the names of some of them lol.

Thanks for watching. I'm not sure what you mean by redirect to the console. Most likely depends on how the connection is configured.
