some period tips:
- avoid cold drinks, instead try some tea (ginger, rosemary, chamomile, ...) or warm water, is better
- avoid citrus fruits
- do some exercise, yoga or stretching to decrease discomfort
- fried or dairy foods can cause stomach damage (nausea, vomiting, etc)
- black coffee also irritates in those days

-- don't eat as much as you want to; it actually makes your cramps worse + makes you have more flow
-- this one feels obvious but regardless of you had your period five days ago or you think it might be coming up, CARRY AROUND PADS/TAMPONS (at least 2)
-- find the thing that works best for you as far as like pads/tampons/diva cups/reusable panties. the thing that works for one person might not work for you, because everyone is effected by things differently
-- drink only water. juices have too much sugar, coffee and sodas too much caffeine. i'd say the only thing other than water that might be safe is tea, but it depends on what kind tbh. sugar and caffeine can make cramps so much worse
-- set aside a different bag from your trash can in your bathroom for your pads/tampons. that way when you finish your period you can tie it up and throw it away as opposed to having it sit in your trash can until the next time you take you trash out
