Having your ductwork cleaned by a good company is a must however good companies have bad employees who cut corners . I had our ducts cleaned several years ago by a national known company. They cleaned the Master bedroom area's 5 ducts in ten minutes because I was not watching them . No matter who you get to clean your home's vents/ducts walk with them and stay with them all the time , this way they will/may clean your ducts and not just replace the vent covers which I think they did to Master bedroom area . There is a lot of dishonest companies /employees so beware .
honestly not sure i trust the professionals on this, in my area they charge around $80-$100 per vent . i live in a 2 bedroom apartment it has 7 vents. not to mention all the places add fees like $200 for deodorization, $ 300 for blower clean, $500 for coil cleaning. so id be looking at around $1700 for a two bedroom apartment. just seems insane. my air duct are moderately dusty. the ac blows strong and very cold. i only looked into it since i have asthma and these duct have never been cleaned to my knowledge. in my case specifically i cant seem to understand why it cost so much

Average Cost of a 3 bedroom ranch, no basement? Assuming that I move any obstructions away from the floor supply vents and ceiling returns. The reason i ask for at least a ball-park is because i haven't had it done in 22 years and I'm sure they are probably filthy and its the pandemic right now and times are a bit tougher, so just wondering about cost and thanks a ton for your videos!!!!! Will my local ONE-HOUR outfit be as thorough as Ben ?? How can I be sure? Thanks again so much!!!!
It also helps to get a NADCA certified company to clean your ductwork along with checking reviews and seeing before and after pic.I tend to go with the smaller family owned companies, they seem to take more pride because their reputation is on the line.
